Publisher's summary

No one would ever envy Robert Burke. He is homeless, destitute, and forced to sleep in the cold, night after night.

And yet Robert has the love and devotion of his small dog, Scruffy. That is enough to get him through.

When Robert meets Scott McKenzie, it changes not this life, but possible future lives. Because Scott takes Robert to Middle Falls, Oregon.

Miracles happen in Middle Falls.

Oh Too Short!

This is the only one I actually paid for. It wasn't much so I didn't waste a credit on it but I have just fell in love with this series. I did get completely lost with the last one because in most all the others the people only reset after committing suicide but the last book and this one that didn't happen. I actually wish I could talk to the author in case I missed something in the 1st 10 books. In the 11th book Carrie wasn't murdered by Michael so I got a little confused on that since she is technically over the life center. In the second life of the main character he saved her and I assumed he did as well in his 3rd. Plus in the 12th book the guy only committed suicide twice. The other times he just kept resetting a lot. I will imagine my own ending for this book and its going to be a happy one.

Sentimental And Moving Novella

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of a homeless man's last days. Brought about an awareness of the different circumstances faced by people

Touching and with a dog. A good Christmas story, in Middle Falls all turns out OK

Wonderful short story

The perfect length to match my daily jog. Not exactly the high energy I would usually like for a run, but a great mini story for those of us that love the Middle Falls stories.

Beautiful Story. Top Narration.

As always I am placed right where Shawn Inmon has provided. I am invested. I am engrossed in the story of almost every character. The author writes with such uncomplicated depth that I want to know what happened to that “other character” even after the story is told. That’s not a sign of incomplete story telling. That’s a sign of depth provided to even the peripheral or background characters that normal serve a purpose for only a given moment to set the scene.

As usual, the narration is so well cast. I get into each voice regardless of gender or age.

Thank you Mr Inmon for the story featuring vets and The Oasis. I am a retired Air Force veteran and the plight of the homeless vets and all of the struggle vets is too often short-changed in story telling. I would live to see a place like The Oasis take shape in “the Real.”

Thanks to your lovely wife as well (make sure you stay for the author’s comments). Well conceived. Well executed.

Found my new favorite narrator

Christopher Lane does an outstanding job on this novella. Story was wonderful as all of Shawn Inmon’s books are.

Brilliant

Damn you Shawn Inmon!!
I love your Middle Falls series, but no story has ever made me cry like The Final Christmas of Robert Burke. And Christopher Lane made it all the more real. I look forward to the next.
See you in the next life.
