From the outside, Rebecca Wright had an enviable life, and she enjoyed that envy.

She had a beautiful house, handsome husband, and a no-limit credit card. What she didn't have was empathy.

But, it's never too late in Middle Falls. A lesson that isn't learned in one lifetime can be learned in the next, or the next. Rebecca may need every chance she can get.

Includes a special bonus note read by the author.

Having been the daughter of a cold, unloving, distant mother, Rebecca herself never learned to have loving, empathetic feelings towards others. The one exception being her brother, Duncan.

In her first life, Rebecca and her husband divorced, she never had a connection with her son, and she managed her money badly. Her mother died without ever developing a relationship with her. He brother Duncan died far too young, leaving her with really no one else that she cared anything about. Duncan's death could have been prevented, so in most of her do-overs, Rebecca did attempt to save him.

Rebecca had MANY do-overs. She did different things with each life that she thought would make her happy. But when you lack empathy, it's not something you can just choose to "do over". It's something that has to be learned. Slowly.

I really enjoyed this book and I am once again amazed at how well Shawn Inmon understands human nature, and of his ability to create such relatable characters.

Another Great Do-Over

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Listened in less than 12 hours! I love the subject of broken people interwoven with time travel or dystopia. It finishes as strong as it starts. The narrator did a great job. Highly recommend this audiobook.

Excellent story

The 80’s isn’t my favorite period but I really enjoyed this story. It had good twists and I loved the ending.

One of the best in the group

I can’t say I liked this book as much as the others. I found myself losing the storyline & backing up a few chapters to get back on tract. Could have been the busy Christmas season, but I think that not recognizing Donna at the very beginning threw me off. I’m reading the books in order so I’ve become used to significant characters being somewhat familiar from previous Middle Falls tales.

Least favorite Middle Falls tale

So, been binge listening to these Middle Falls series of books.. and the theme had been getting a little ho hum. And then I listened to the prior book, and then this puppy. A little bit of a different spin that was very refreshing. Finally, the time traveler convinces someone else of the truth of the situation. Knocked this one out in a day! Awesome!!

Great Read, well Great LISTEN
