I never expected to see a mage battle on national TV.

When the ley lines - the orderly rivers of magical energy that circle the globe - went wild, chaos ensued.

Magic hid in the shadows for hundreds of years, but then a secret order took control of one of the world's largest religions. Their goal is to rule the world, and the first step is to control the ley lines and magic users.

I didn't escape the Illuminati just to become a slave to the Knights Magica. If they want me, they're going to have a fight on their hands.

Contains mature themes.

Great finishes on a cliffhanger. How long will we have to wait for the next audible book to come out.

The whole storyline kept me interested. The author was exceptionally good at keeping you listening to what was going to happen next. And the main character is awesome.

the plot! EXCELLENT

One of the best story series I know of by Kingsolver. Unfortunately, I have at least one unanswered and unasked question. Why weren't the Universal church Knights Magical considered terrorists when they went to court? There are crimes, and then there are grand premeditated assaults, assassinations, and destruction with proclaimed agenda. They fit every required definition of terrorists. It is definitely an exciting story. It does not truly resolve like earlier books, so you could say it is the build up and setup no the last book.
