This story hurt so good when I first read the ARC, but listening to it was a whole different level of pain. There are so many different feelings and emotions presented in this story, and the narrators did such a fantastic job with every single one of them. The anger, the pain, the resentment, Ramona and Bryant just knocked it out of the park.

From the very first chapter, Austin was breaking my heart and had me in tears. Austin and Nova loved each other so much, but their love was not the hea kind of love. I'm glad we got to see a story where the MCs chose to love and put themselves over the other.

Vee did a beautiful job at showing us so many different sides of addiction. From the addict's pain and denial, to all the struggles that the loved ones who want to help experience, and also the negativity of those who don't believe addiction is a sickness.

Top Tier Hockey story with romance and much more

There is just so much about this story that I'm honestly struggling to put it into words. Vee has created a world around hockey with people you want to know, help, and love. This addition to the series takes the emotional aspect and struggles further than she has in the beginning of this series. While Your Biggest Downfall can be read as a standalone, you would be doing yourself a disservice by not diving into the world of Raven's hockey and getting to know the characters from the beginning.

Nova and Austin are young, inexperienced, and are thrown into a world where they are not set up to survive, let alone thrive. There is an emotional journey here that you can feel from both angles. I can fully understand how both characters ended up where they are and how it could have happened to anyone in their place.

Updated review - the audiobook is just as good. Ramona Master just adds a beautiful touch as the voice of Nova. You just want to hug her and hang out with her.

My heart hurts for so many of the characters, and I want to know what will happen to them all in the future.
