oh what fun

this is my very first Lulu story. but I can tell you it will not be my last I really enjoyed this story number one it had my favorite Trope which is a surprise baby. though I can say it even though it was a surprise to him they were still pining over one another. even though she chose not to pursue him and not find him until after the baby was born. bit of a spoiler there sorry. but I did love this story I love this family so I am definitely going back and reading the first book and there's a little Prelude book to this series I believe and then of course I want to continue to read this series as the books come out. the audio for this could have not been more perfect Shane East and I'm trying to remember if it was CJ bloom or Carly Robbins which is one in the same I just can't remember which name she used. she's very open about that so. BOCES narrators are superb actors and do wonderful voice characters and I would recommend them hands down when I see a book done by them. but the story itself can easily stand on its own it was a great story and I am anxious to read more by this author.

Second chance in a perfect setting

I adore the beautiful world of Valentine Knook and the Burlington family that Lulu has created. I fall even more in love with every book. This is Alex and Haveens story, their second chance and Alex learns of his beautiful daughter Everly at 6 weeks old.

The beginning of Alex and Havens story statts in a novella called "Once Upon a Christmas". It is not necessarily to read it first but I highly recommend it. I feel it makes this story even more impactful. It shows you the devotion and connection between them.

This story is full of messy feeling, light-hearted funny interactions, soul crushing longing, steamy spice and beautiful heartwarming moments. All of its interwoven with Holiday fun in the perfect village setting. And we get lots of Burlington sibling interactions and meddling. I loved how involved and invested the Burlington clan is.

We get to wach Alex fall in love not just with Haven but with his daughter Everly. I loved waching him becoming an active dad. My heart broke for him as he realized all the things he missed out on but he never let it hinder his current place in Everlys life.

Alex gives his all the Haven and I couldn't be happier that they got past the issues become the beautiful couple and family they deserved. I love all the things he did to make Havens life as a mother easier and helped her find her way out of the fog she was in.

Haven is so determined and used to doing it all on her own its a wonder that she let's Alex in. I lo e that she did. She isnt having the best time as a new mom and this book doesn't gloss over it. Im glad her struggles get highlighted. Loved waching her bloom into a happy mom and happy in love.

Once again I found myself getting halfway through this book knowing was going to buy the Audiobook needing to listen to it because I was so in love with it and I knew the narrators would make me fall even more in love. Dual narration by Shane East & CJ Bloom. I tell you that both can do no wrong. And CJs English accent was done so well. They both brought this story to life, they have a way of pulling emotions out of the story.

Alexander had a whirlwind romance while on vacation in America and he hasn’t heard from her since despite his efforts to reach out. Now 10 months later she has returned to his life in his hometown. But the most shocking part is she isn’t alone; she has his daughter he knew nothing about with her. While Havens lost both her parents, she is determined to make sure her daughter has both of hers in her life, the only question is how that will work when they live on different continents!

Alex and Haven’s happily ever after was WELL worth the wait, and I loved them even more in their second book.

Look, Lulu Moore can do no wrong in my eyes, but this series and this book in particular are doing it so so right!

This book was incredibly tender and the narrators once again delivered amazing performances to Alex and Haven’s characters. Shane East and CJ Bloom knocked this one out of the park and made me love this story even more.

I loved Alex and Have so much, and having this be a secret baby and seeing them reconnect melted me into a puddle in the floor.

The way Alex loved both Haven and his baby daughter with a tenderness and surety that just seemed to be instinctual was so precious to read. And the way both Haven and Everly brought Alex healing over his hatred of Christmas just was beautiful.

There is no other way to describe this story than tender. It was just tender and sweet and charming. I also still want to move to the English countryside 😂

Ans don’t be disappointed because even though the book was loads of sweetness, Alex and Haven delivered in the spice too, because I might look at icing a little differently now.

I would highly recommend this book in any circumstance, but I would definitely say that listening to it will make an already fantastic book even better.

Alex for the WIN! I fell in LOVE with him.

I loved Valentine Nook and couldn't wait for the next book to come out. As soon as I saw the audio was available I was like a kid in a candy store. I thorough my ear buds in and devoured this book. You will be hooked from he beginning and will fall in love with Alex & Haven.

The narrators Shane East & C.J. Bloom did a wonderful job telling this story. I love their voices because they hold your attention and keep you entertained the entire time your listening to them. I also feel like they make you connect with the characters as well.

But since it's getting close to Christmas time and he hates this time of the year their is no reason for him not to get out of Valentine Nook right away. But fate had other plans for him instead and the next thing he knows he's staring at the American Haven! Oh and she has a baby with her.

Haven had been trying to forget her week long fling with a Englishman but that was hard to do after she found out she was pregnant. Now struggling with motherhood alone she decides she needs to find him and let him know he has a daughter. She knows what it's like to not have her parents around and doesn't want that for her daughter. When she get's to Valentine Nook she gets more then she expected. Not only is Alex completely infatuated with his daughter but he still has feelings for her and wants to do whatever he can to help her out. SWOON CITY!!!! This man will have you swooning so hard it's not even funny! She will also start making friends and falling in love with this quaint town as well.

This story will have your heart melting! I can't tell you how often I was swooning, smiling and just giddy from this story. There are some emotional parts but through everything this book will end with a PERFECT ending! I loved these characters and side characters so much. I love this series and can't wait to see what's next. I HIGHLY recommend this book!
