Life is the teacher. Death is the lesson. An undying cultivator is the result.
Su Fang’s path of cultivation is a journey of countless deaths. As each new life pulls back the veil that covers the Nine Rivers Continent, he discovers both hidden truths and the chains that bind him.
The Nine Rivers Continent is under the thumb of a godlike entity willing to do whatever it takes to push society forward, and nothing fuels progress like conflict. To get his first true competitive advantage, Su Fang begins his hunt for a spatial fire seed, a treasure that will grant him the power to create a world of his own—a sanctuary beyond the reach of the Heavenly Dao. Fortunately—or perhaps unfortunately—he has as many attempts as he needs to succeed.
A cultivator who defies death has only one option: seek out a life worth living.

Conflicted

I wish I could spend his credits for him though, he has so many that it's painful to see him advance single affinities in such small steps when he could boost them all permanently for a fraction of his wealth. I also want to see him buy a few permanent items/artifacts like his health pill from the first book. He basically ignores his system inventory completely in favor of his tiny soul storage.
He also doesn't really experiment with his system much. Like, to not even ask how much it would be to boost his qi absorption rate is insane to me. At some point in this book he does a couple "Give me the most _ you can with _ credits" which is the smartest thing he has done yet. Infinite lives my guy, compound interest is your friend.
Still Quality

The MC expands his knowledge base while a interested story unfolds. Most cultivation series I’ve experienced it always seem like you're left wanting. This series is 2 for 2, I of course always want more but the books have enough and end at a good stopping point.
Looking forward to book 3.
A Solid 2nd Book

Thinking about the world in the story, I found that I really dislike that different cultivation methods brainwash the cultivator. And if the protagonist had found a workaround in the first book, it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but it's still happening.
A lot of the crappiness of his various lives can be linked to this. And the majority of this book was spent on one life where that was the case. Which also gives me the thought that the blessing of one of his followers being that powerful. I don't like that, it just seems incredible that it could be able to tell so much about his blessing.
Okay, for sure worse in the first
