Author does amazing plot development over the series. Characters are crafted and intertwined to keep you wanting to see what's next!

Loved Jim Powell and the Mad Mick, but Ty Stone is now my favorite.

Exciting new characters

This was so exciting I listened to the entire box set, only stopping to sleep! Can’t wait to continue Ty’s adventures!!

Book one will take you on a non-stop action packed adventure that keeps you hooked. The author gives a peek into how some military deal with PDST when coming home. Beware, there are dark thoughts that Ty Stone tackles with when he has down time.

The three book series deals with human trafficking. My heart breaks that this is real and so many children and women suffer at the hand of evil.

The first two books our hero delivers and rescues. The third book feel short for me because my expectations were not met. He finally was given a job that met his character and abilities. I was wanting him to kick butt and take down the top guys and the cartel and keep going while taking down those criminals that run the human trafficking circles. That did not happen.
At the very least give it to us in a book. Let the hero let lose and take as many of those "feel in the blank with your colorful words" down.

The narrator for the first two books were good, but the narrator for the third book was hard to listen to. With all that I did complete the listen for all three books.

Pretty sure I wasted a credit on this

Even with a boxed set I don't think I got my credit's worth out of this. Kept waiting for the story and the MC to improve but it never happened. The MC (Ty Stone) is exhausting to deal with. The entire series is just repetitions of the guy making stupid decisions, rambling on with self-blame, contemplating killing himself, and then doing it all over again. Seemed to be big holes in the plots, e.g. clinics buying kids without even doing background checks on the mothers to make sure it wasn't a sting and as if law enforcement wouldn't find out. It didn't help that each book had a different narrator so there's no continuity and none of them stood out with their performances but the 3rd was the worst by far, sounded like a bad AI/automated voice half the time. In 25 hours of listening there's not a lot action or suspense that takes place and without mentioning spoilers the MC doesn't do much except screw things up. All in all these aren't well-written stories and I tend to keep the bar low for enjoying what I listen to.

Franklin Horton actually wrote this book?

I have listened with rapt attention to the Mad Mick series, and LOVED all the books. This sad threesome doesn't even come close. Did Horton really write this amaturish three books? The dangerous portions are ok, but do not come close to the suspense that the Mad Mick series has. I think a lot of it is the narration, simply put...average. There is no connection to the protagonist, just another oh hum chapter. Dont bother with credit, spend it somewhere else.

Not up to the usual excellent quality

I get the feeling that the writer was just trying to find another niche besides the 'end of civilization" theme.
He'll have to keep looking because this is not working. The main character is not well developed, which could be ok except for the endless "i'm gonna kill myself" thing that dragged on and on.
The plot lines are thin and not compelling. Yes, I know human trafficking is horrible but this story lives outside of a plausible scenario for the subject.
One of the things I like about Horton's other books is that the characters step up and deal with their issues and help others.
This guy is just in the way.
