I couldn’t stop listening to…

This is a powerful author it’s been written realistically. I could feel myself there…. I can’t wait to start the next series.

A Meat-eating, gun-toting, Christian Right Polemic .

I have enjoyed Goodwin’s stories many times before, but this one is a tone deaf, Church Militant assault on Biblical Christianity, that is just too full of offensive moments to go into the second book.

In these last days, Christian writers should be concentrating on prophecy, on being ready to face persecution with strong and practiced faith, and on being examples of virtue and the fruits of the Spirit that once inspired the Church fathers and the spread of God’s Word throughout the world.

It’s not the Marxist left, but the Fascist, Christian Right that threatens America now. They preach self-defense, self-sufficiency, and pride—the 7th Deadly Sin. Self-righteousness is the opposite of what Jesus taught.The world is caught up in the war between the two evils of Marxism and Fascism, but salvation depends on obedience only to the Lord God, upon believing that it is the way of the Cross, not the American Way or any other eathly way that leads to Heaven.

The World is ending while we watch! But people don’t see it, because they are distracted by the Social Gospel and climate change. It’s not just fossil fuels that are causing the increase in catastrophic events. It’s sin, as the Creator defines it in the Bible. Did you really think God would continue to protect a world where countries think murdering millions of the unborn is a responsible way to reduce population?

Put your treasure, your trust, your faith where the Bible says it won’t be destroyed by mortal means. You can’t serve God and the world. And especially now—the world has very little time left, so your only chance to live is to trust Jesus.

Not my favorite of his, but still a mostly compelling read. Mark is a great writer. if you like this series, you'll love his entire catalog probably more.
