When the end arrives, how far will you go to survive?

With over 4 million books sold, the number one best-selling and most prolific post-apocalyptic thriller author Mike Kraus brings a gripping tale of destruction, survival, and humanity like no one else can.

On a quiet evening like any other, virtually anything that uses fuel goes up in flames, killing billions in the first twenty-four hours alone. Remnants of governments reel as they try to deal with the destruction of their countries and decimation of their military infrastructure as their cities burn to the ground.

On a quiet beach in South Florida, Alice Burton and her two children have started the family vacation early - all that's left is for James to fly in from a conference in Colorado. When the small beach town they're staying in is consumed by fire, they're forced to seek help on foot - facing dangers both natural and manmade at every turn.

Meanwhile, at the Denver International Airport, James Burton hides beneath an overpass as cars and planes erupt in flame around him. His survival is not guaranteed, as a treacherous journey through the heart of Denver and beyond awaits him if he has any hope of reuniting with his family.

Back home, on their small farm outside East Lansing, Michigan, Alice's parents are house-sitting, and are about to experience the most intense test of their survival and homesteading skills that they could ever imagine.

This omnibus edition of The End of All Things contains all 6 books from the original series:

Solid story, maybe could have been a little shorter with some spots a little more details then needed. Well worth credit for one box set. Goor narration

Worth the credit!

The performance kept me from finishing, the story was good but I could not get past the actors attempts at women’s and children’s voices. Good grief.

Just read the book

The character seemed to have depth to them. The situations they found themselves in brought out that depth.

Realistic characters.

have you ever wondered what it would be like if the perfect family with the perfect morals was thrown into the end of the world? well it's happened but in a very strange way and they're not all together they endure hardships along the way which makes for a very entertaining story. that being said there are some things that I thought were a little too annoying to make it a five-star review. first off all the characters are acting the way they should at the end of the world except there's really no degrated is about the worst thing you see. I'm not advocating for the horrible things that will happen if the world ever ends but it takes a little of the realism out of the story. our main characters are far too pretty much for me to fully enjoy although I did like every single one of them enough to keep listening to this very long set. The authors use of repetition at times got me aggravated when we had to hear the same line spoken five different times or the same sentiment or the same information or the same question repeated repeated repeated I understand that's probably how natural speech works but in a book we'd like to cut those corners out to increase the entertainment value. It was a good book when it comes to the narration I have to admit the author was probably not the best person to do this his portrayals of the children being whiny every time they said mom became torturous at times however it is his vision and that's probably how he envisioned it in his head while writing. All of his female voices sounded pretty much the same I found myself really having to pay attention when more than one female was in a scene as to who was talking. there were some loose ends at the end of the book that I wish had been tied they weren't necessary to finish the story but they were necessary for me to feel finished. after all the good and all the bad from this book I would very much love to have a sequel story and find out what happened to the Burton family after the events that transpired although I couldn't give it a perfect score thoroughly entertaining and took some of the poorest hours of my life and gave them purpose

a deeply detailed story

Booby trapping fuel So that it all explodes it once Seems like Climate Alarmists wet dream, but is about as likely as a swarm of asteroids hitting the 10 largest cities in the world at the same time. note to author; study up on your firearms and use of military weapons. A typical hunting rifle you chamber a new round using the bolt, sliding the bolt. A semi-automatic rifle, like an AR, uses a charging handle. It makes no sense to be running the charging handle for each shot. The semi-automatic AR would use the charging handle but then no action would be needed between each pull of the trigger firing each shot. If your actioning in another round each time you fire, then it's a bolt action or a pump action.
When the group attacked the president, lots of silly s*** there too. A 3-in thick steel door would only allow cover for two or three people at most, and would weigh approximately 2500 lb, making it impossible for the three people behind it to move it. Even if the door was only half inch steel plate and thus not near as blast resistant, it would still be very difficult for a couple of people to move.

very implausible

Overall the books were good, i could’ve done without the splintered stories in France & California, they didn’t tie into the main stories. But in my opinion, the books would’ve been way better if they were read by someone other than the author, his voices need more work to be pulled off. All the women in the books sounded the same and the villain was a screeching weasel. I did end up listening to all the books and did enjoy them.
