This has a walking dead vibe but with a different story.
I absolutely loved these books! I have nothing but good things to say especially about Luke, he's my favorite character and extremely well written. I'm only on book 6 but I had to go ahead and write my review now bc I'm enjoying these so much. If my opinion changes I'll update this review.

Wonderful surprise!

Multiple perspectives
The core group that you meet in the first book are my favorites but I love the overview of the different regions. Joshua Ragland's story is my 2nd favorite but I loved the series as a whole and can't wait for more.

The story lost me halfway into the series
When Ash had his marauders attack the valley and made the council begin to speak about moving what had me lost the most was how ill-prepared the valley was. They had 5 years to scavenge gear, vehicles and whatever else was left behind during that time. After hearing that I knew how the story was going to play out for the remainder of book and series.

It will make being grateful for your current situation much easier.
