Don't let the stupid series name fool you, this is top tier.

I wasn't expecting much when I started this series but it's now being one of my favorites. IMO it's a time loop story on par with Mother of Learning, if not better. I like OP characters so I'm a bit biased to be fair.

Character growth is great and the power curve has been well managed (for an intentionally OP MC). His current strength doesnt feel unearned given how often he has to die to achieve it. The world is awesome: I love that we alternate between learning more of the broader kingdom/universe lore and spending time at a local level learning about the lives of the everyday people.

My only complaint is that by the nature of the story a lot of characters get left behind and its hard to remember who is who when there's a quick reference later. Could have definitely used a recap to start this book off.

I enjoyed the silly-scale stubbornness.

I just finished listening to books 1 and 2 of this story, "The Stubborn Skill-Grinder in a Time Loop". Which is very accurate, as titles go.
I enjoyed all of it, even the sometimes over-the-top stubbornness.
I even enjoyed seeing the character grow a bit emotionally, albeit very grudgingly. They were grudging, that is. I was just the entertained listener chuckling in a corner they couldn't detect.
I eagerly anticipate the next installment, and as is the norm for stories I enjoy, my mind is already trying to imagine where it might go.
Thanks to both the author and the narrator, well done.

Great series

Narrator is amazing for such a masculine character, does a great job and makes it easy to foo. Entire story is well written and engaging, fun to listen to where you’re always wanting more.

Excellent Pacing and Ending

This book was extremely well written. the author seems to know quite well what kind of pacing is needed for each event. nothing ever felt rushed or over done, everything felt logical in the timeline (Ironic isnt it?). theres are a few minor fumbles from the narrator, they dont change the experience at all though. Just a minor word here or their, or the wrong form of a word spoken instead. relatively minor, considering how fantastic their performance was. exceptional voice acting that truly makes the story come alive.

In the end there are a couple take aways i would say are important. firstly that this book isnt as lighthearted as the first, while there are plenty of light moments and lots of good memories, the weight of the loops is really felt in this one. secondly, if you were on the verge with the first one, id say its still worth it to give this one a try because it presents a different tone while capturing the same essence as the first book.
