Awful Awful Irish accent

The story was engaging, I love a long book and this one was very long. But I almost didnt finish dur to the terrible Irish accent, it made me cringe. Please do not do it again, I thought he was from the Caribbean at first.

I couldn't get used to the unsuitable voice. None of the characters were right.

A Great Series

I have thoroughly enjoyed this three book series. Anni Taylor weaves a compelling, multifaceted plot that somehow comes together perfectly in the end.
I highly recommend reading the books in this series and suggest reading them in order.

Great end to the trilogy

As always I loved the story, you really feel like you are personally connected with the characters… I’ll miss them.
Unfortunately I really do battle with the voice especially some of the failed accents.

Excellent!

I loved all 3 books in the series. I'm so sad that I'm done, the character feels like family. I can just hope that there will be a 4th book. Caroline Lee is the best narrator ever!

Love the author, not so much the narrator

After reading the 3 book series, I will be seeking more by Anni Taylor.

Caroline Lee was fantastic as a voice for Kate, she also did well on the little children of the first book, however with the second book, her voice of Abby was infantilized, a great deal. Accents, other than Australian, were poor to horrible. The more voices in the story, the more the narration became confusing with even Kate's strong voice dipping into a younger almost childlike voice at times, likely in an attempt to differentiate the voices of more than one woman. It seemed that Caroline may have sometimes been confused on which voice she was doing, not that her bag was very deep, but the struggling on Kate's voice in the final book really hurt the narration. I think she would do fine narrating a single voice or even a couple that are very distinctly different characters by age and gender.

While Caroline's voice continued to be clear, crisp and understandable with a high quality recording with no background noises, I would not seek her out. I would, however, not shy away from picking up a book I was interested in that she is narrating, I would just be hopeful.
