This is my favorite series and I can’t wait for the next one…. 100% worth the read

A Missed Flashback

I was really looked forward to The Secret because I always enjoy the flashbacks to when teacher was still a MP. A lot of the stories from his Army days rank among my favorite in the series. But not this one. The story was beyond predictable and the action was stale. A big disappointment considered how excited I was for a flashback story.

It met my lowered expectations

I wasn’t expecting the same story that drew me in from The Killing Fields to Past Tense. The small asides that gave us insight and humor into the situation or story.

It’s not a bad story, just a little far fetched. Lacking of excitement and intensity.

However, it’s always good to here about the adventures of my old friend Jack.

Andrew is not Lee

not a bad book, but not really a Reacher book. I can't picture Lee making a cameo appearance when it goes to the screen.

A Reach for sure

The story line is a stretch. Get back to the real Reacher soon as I enjoy him

Great premise going back to Reachers military history.like to see more of this. looking forward to the next book.

I can't get enough of these Jack Reacher novels. The more I read, the more I want to.

One of the best

It was utterly amazing to see how a story can keep you hanging on to the last period. I do not have as they say the literature chops to talk about this book in that sense, but it was one of those books that the biggest regret I have was that I knew it was going to end. I was so afraid the ending was going to be anti-climatic because it was riveting all the way through. Generally speaking when you get a novel that is this well done. The biggest weakness is the ending. This had no such weakness.

I can’t think them both authors enough Scott brick for its novel. I literally made myself stop over three days because I didn’t want it to end. At the age I have read a lot of books. I will remember this book is the book. I didn’t want to finish because it really hurts. Have such a superbly done novel and left so hungry for more

Not the most captivating story line

I am a huge Jack Reacher fan and listen to every book I can. This one didn’t keep my attention like some of the others, Dick Hill is my favorite narrator and his voice matches the character. Scott Bricks voice is to high octaves and makes Jack seem less threatening and a bit weaker.

Dramatic narrator

Brick has a great voice but constantly makes everyone in the book seem so emotional and mean that he loses any authenticity. Not everyone is so aggressive and mean.
