A new great subject

I cannot say I was fully on board with Lettie being the star of one of John Sanford’s amazing books. I was stupid as the new avenue for his writing was so artfully done. She is the embodiment of Lucas and maybe smarter in her grasp of how to handle bureaucracy and talent with firearms. As usual, can’t wait for the next one…

Excellent Again

I thank John Sandford for his craft and excellence. Can’t wait for more from Lettie. Authentic and human.

New Heroine

Good fun read. Sandford uses the liberal media bad guys to create a story of anti immigration and DHS actions. Some of the things his heroine does at 24/25 stretches the imagination, but if you ignore it, the book is fun. As usual, the narrator is absoute perfection and makes this a fun story to listen to.

If you like Lucas and That F&$king Flowers…..

Letty is a twenty something female Lucas with a huge chip on her shoulder. You can expect a great ride with this one!

This book kept me finding reasons to listen to it.

I've love the Lucas Davenport storyline for ever. Letty's a natural progression of that line. I loved the chemistry between her and Kaiser, as well.

Excellent spin off of the Lucas Davenport Series

Fantastic character development and exploits of a new Davenport to follow.

This was really well done and I’ll be looking for all in the series as they are released. My only disappointment was the more than casual and dishonest anti Maga propaganda woven in. For example comparing the Jan 6th people look e arrested and saying how they used their own selfies against them in court.

Except these people are being held without their right to a speedy trial and denied medicine, I know liberals want to believe they are all evil and guilty and being treated fairly. Do some research

But it’s not woven in so much that it rises since annoying. Otherwise one of the better books of the year

I started skeptical

I was initially skeptical of a Letty Davenport book. But then I was initially skeptical of a Virgil Flowers book. This was a terrific read and kept my interest all the way. Letty is as unique as any of Stanford’s characters. I started reading the Prey novels from the first one in 1989. Being from Minnesota, I appreciated the descriptive incorporation of the weather, look and feel of the settings. But I have enjoyed his books no matter the setting. Lettie is a complex and interesting character, and has been since first being discovered and eventually adopted by Lucas and Weather.
This book is a great story and a very relevant one that addresses one of the major issues and dividing points of our country. People tend to prefer to remember only the recent past, and forget that the initial immigrants to America also came here uninvited, and were therefore illegal.
People feeing oppression and bringing their children do not always appreciate the legalities of laws that are made to protect the entitled.

I loved it, can’t wait for more

Thought Virgil and Lucas were the best, but Letty is right there with them. Really different, original plot. Lots of action, good characters.
Don’t miss it. A great read.

Always A Win

John Sanford is always a win. I am slowly getting used to this narrator and coming to appreciate him. I sincerely hope we get more Letty books. I use to live on the border.Two of them. Nogales, Arizona and El Paso, Texas. I also lived in Sonora, Mexico. I have seen these attitudes, the good and the bad. This book hits on the head delivered as entertainment. Provides shock and awe and feels.
