Great Spy novel

I liked the prequel to Jack and Bear. A good novel for planes or the beach.

Eye opening

Some people you trust most will easily stab you in the back. Was great to hear how the story started, I’ve already listened d to book 1 & 2 - also great

Being able to know the characters via voice

This storyline is outside of anything I would know in the real world and it's a great escape. I enjoy listening in the car and waking the dog.

The end made no sense…

This is probably a thing you say or write where you spoil something. Spoiler. Not much of one but it is one. You’ve been forewarned.
Here’s what a smart person doesn’t do. Oh I have questions. Let me shoot the one person left alive who can provide some answers. To shoot a person and then say, “Oh they couldn’t have answered my questions anyway.” Is about the most stupid line I’ve ever heard. In a book anyway.
And then in the end he’s literally making stuff up. Like LITERALLY MAKING STUFF UP.
I don’t buy it one bit. I honestly think Noble is an asshole. Plain and simple. Asshole First Class.
But I still enjoyed his books because I’m pretty much up to assholery myself.
