So far the Best of the Series!

Out of all the North Woods books this would have to be my favorite and Clarke is just an amazing Book Boyfriend. Emerson’s past is so tragic (Warning: Adult Theme) and Clarke is her saving grace, her Knight. The Secret story line was captivating, and the narration just made it so worth the wait, I’ll listen to anything with Teddy. My only gripe is the Authors really need to change up their descriptive language, much of it is the same throughout all 3 books. I will finish out the series only because I’m already 3 books invested.

Clark: A Swoon-Worthy Hero

After reading the first two books, it was nice to have a story in which the male hero isn’t cruel to his love interest. In fact, he was more like a knight in shining armor. From the very first moment we are introduced to Emerson, we see a side of Clark that is completely different in how he was portrayed in the previous book.

Emerson has been through sexual abuse and suffers with anxiety attacks. Clark is her calm. He is still the same Clark as before, the only difference is that he falls in love with one girl. He’s gentle and patient towards Emerson and would do anything to keep her safe.

The narrators were excellent!

Loooved this! I don't mind a timid and jumpy h with a dark past and a H who works to gain her trust. ❤

Best one...

This is the best story in this series. Clarke is the knight in shining armour for sure, Emerson is a good match for him.

Clark is Perfect for Emerson!

This is my favorite story of the series so far! I LOVE CLARK! He is absolutely perfect for Emerson! He is exactly what she needs to heal! I love how slow he is with her, and how he would do anything for her! Clark is the perfect book boyfriend and protector! Wish I could read more about them in the future!

A bit too slow for me...

it's a story about a woman who has endured a bit too much abuse and trauma.... having a hard time coming out of her shell and overcoming her fears.

The narration is perfect. Makes the story much more enjoyable.

Rightly Titled....

This story has a serious, realistic story line and could cause triggers for some. Emerson has a secret that has made her socially inept to deal with people, she is timid and basically scared of her own shadow, that is until Clark. He is the Jock and the most unlikely person that would gravitate to Emerson but he does, he helps her, protects her and falls in love with her. Narration is from two of my favorite narrators.

Not as dark as the others

So I’m quickly learning that all the books in the series seem to have a sexual assault twist to them somehow, either an attempt or actual. However, with this book thank the lord it’s not the MMC! Clarke is an absolute angel and only gets aggressive when it comes to Emerson’s safety. He really is her knight in shining armor. I love that being with him boosts her confidence in and out of the bedroom. This book wasn’t as intense as the first two, but rather more caring and sweet. Emerson has a lot of trauma and Clarke is so patient with her it breaks my heart, he’s the sweetest, always checking in on her and asking her if what he’s doing is okay. It’s the best! I also like that Remy and Jules, and Vance and Ava are in the story. It’s nice to know that they settled down and are in happy healthy relationships now. I can’t wait to read about Sebastian now, he’s been such a good guy in all the books so far, hopefully he’s good in this one too! The narration was good, Teddy Hamilton can do no wrong and Ava Lucas isn’t bad. Overall, I would recommend this series especially if you like morally grey stories. Though this one isn’t too dark.
