Not worth the money

Just another Mustang Road short story proving that the King Killer Chronicles will never be finished.

Waiting, waiting, thought this was book 3.

Was a great day in the life of Bast. Will the trilogy ever be finished?

Clever and fun

I very much enjoyed this short story - never heard the original version but this one was a lot of fun and I’m sure I’ll need to listen another time or so to get all the bits Rothfuss hid here and there. He’s pretty good at doing that. Was very cool to get more from one of his most interesting characters.

This wasn’t the story I’ve been waiting for, but I’m glad it came out along the way. Worth the purchase.

Meh. Where is Doors of Stone?

Seemed like this was a guilt gift for not finishing the trilogy.
And, really just a re- hashed extended version.
Don’t get depressed though. Your first two books are great and I’m sure the final one will be great too. You do you.

The perfect simply completely complex tale

I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed this. If you are looking for a book that fleshes out every detail in the why, but almost never tells you how, this newest batch of mania Rothfuss has cooked up is just the thing for you.

Intriguing

The expansion of the original story into this novella was a delight. I look forward to discovering some of the background on Rothfuss’ website. As always, this narrator brought the characters to life with a nuanced sensitivity.

Such a good little story!

Well crafted story with great meaning. Author’s notes hit me square in the father’s heart and made the very short list of books/movies that brought tears to my eyes.

It's not the last book in the series and it's a rehashing of a previous work but it is worth a listen!

I found this series about a year ago and started in, not realizing it was incomplete... then I learned just how long everyone has been waiting for book 3. I have listed to NoTW & AWMF many many times. I really hope this means Pat is in a good place to keep writing.
