Matt really hit his stride here

I loved the first three books, but holy shit. every critique I didn't know I had for the first few entries was fully resolved with this one. the pacing on the combat is perfect, the descriptions of what are rather complex systems come across clear as day, I was hooked from start to finish.haudible broke halfway through this review and I can't see anything or tell if I'm even typing anymore glhf out there and killkillkill

What True Love Sounds Like

Love this series and Jeff really brings the characters to life! Keep them coming Matt!

I’m hooked

This has seriously become my favorite litrpg series. I was hesitant at first because it’s not your traditional dnd spinoff. This is dnd meets cyberpunk meets final fantasy meets pop culture on really good mushrooms. The “next level” action of the stories keep it fun and you’re always pleasantly surprised by all the weird plot twists and build outs.

I’m going to restart the series now since there isn’t a book 5 to listen to yet,

Goddammit, Donut!

The story is fantastic, but without the narrator it wouldn’t be the full, immersive, insanely fantastic LitRPG saga that this series is. I almost want to take stars off because I have to wait for the next floor. I hug my cat tighter at night.

Great book series

It’s hard to review this book because I’m comparing it to the other books and as a result, the other “levels”. Because this wasn’t my favorite level set up/ design, this was not my favorite book in the series BUT I think this book was used to set up way bigger plans for follow on books. I still think the book was great though. Also the voice actor continues to do an amazing job. I cannot believe it’s one person doing all of the voices!!

Book 4 and still going strong.

Top notch series

Love what you’re building. The big scenes of each book really hit home. All the interviews/shows, hekla scene, robot donut scene, these moments are iconic to me now. The story can kind of drag during the actual dungeon and quest line bits in my opinion. But you’ve made up for it in really fleshed out characters, and great character interaction. Dialogue and humor really hit home. And not many audiobooks get such a great treatment with voice acting and sfx, every voice is spot on and sfx is used sparingly but effectively. Oh and your snarky AI is the best snarky AI Ive ever seen, sooo good dude. Thankyou for the great listen Matt, thank you thank you thank you

Keeps getting better

I started this series just because and found myself drawn into it. It is great. Humor action tragedy and a great cast it just gets better and better the deeper down the rabbit hole you go. Donut rules, all should bow before her.

I'm hooked dang it. Wheres the next book??

I'm hooked at this point and need my next fix. This story is addictive and thrilling with so many moving parts and mysteries on a galactic political scale. Fantastic read, as always the voice actor is highly talented. 10/10
