Mina & Brian

The story

This book was short and sweet but oh so good! I loved seeing Mina and Brian again! It was fun to see a little glimpse into their sordid lives and find out what's going on with them. I don't want to give anything away but both Mina and Brian are badass and sexy as hell. No one can go up against them without regretting it. I really liked that we can see their relationship grow and evolve into something new that bonds them even more than before.

The narration

I love Meg and Troy! They are such great narrators and their bring Mina and Brian to life so perfectly! I also love the dual narration style of this book where each line for the female character is read by Meg and the male character's lines are narrator by Troy regardless of who's the narrator of the chapter. I love this kind of dual narration feels so much more realistic. Definitely a fun listen.

The Easter Hunt

The Easter Hunt is Brian and Mina’s Holiday hits #1. Their story originally started in Broken Dolls from the Pleasure House series. This is a novella Brian Sloan and Mina Calloway’s story.

It was great to be back in The Pleasure House. Brian is a psychopath.
Mina isn’t a mouse. She’s got some moxy actually. She makes for a good partner for Brian.

So this is a short read which means things happen fast. This isn’t a light read. In fact it is very dark so proceed with caution. You can read this story without reading the other books in the Pleasure House but know there is so much more story!

If you love dark romances and aren’t worried about triggers I would say go forth and read the rest of the story, so to speak! In the meantime this is a 5 STAR read!


Audible Review: So it has to be a really great book for me to want to read a story that I have already read before. I do not usually reread my books, even the best of my books. So you know that The Easter Hunt is a very good book for me.

I mostly listen to my books by text to speech feature on my Kindle. The narrators for The Easter Hunt are Troy Duran and Meg Sylvan. So it is with pleasure that I got to listen to The Easter Hunt with these 2 narrators!


I do think that if you get the wrong people to narrate it can ruin the story. I am pleased to say that I really enjoyed listening to Troy and Meg!


They read to me perfectly in fact I wasn’t ready for them to stop reading to me! A truly great moment in time listening to The Easter Hunt!

Holy Hotness!!!

The Easter Hunt is Brian and Mina's story taking place at The Pleasure House. To get more of their background history I highly recommend reading or listening to Broken Dolls first, but you can still enjoy this book if you don't. The narrator's did an awesome job bringing the story to life. I loved the book when I read it but listening to it always gives a new perspective. They both have pasts that leave deep scars and a darkness that resides in them that I believe allows them to connect the way that they do. Mina has felt this darkness in her rising to the surface for some time now and the question is how will she handle it when it takes over.

The Easter Humt

Hmm, this book is on fire. I love Mina and Brian’s mini story. These 2 are truly made for each other. I love reading about Mina’s determination to save the love of her life. I also, love how she caught Matsumoto off guard. I must say that it was a priceless moment and one of my favorite scene in this story. What truly got to me was the way Lindsay had the audacity to question Brian or Mona after what he did to them. Most of all I love this new Brian, he is hard but when it comes to Mina she is definitely his weakness and savior.

Mina 2.0!!!!

I love this new side to Mina, she’s such a rockstar, so bold and so confident . Her and Brian are even more of a perfect couple now. This was such a fun novella and could only be better if it was longer (that’s always my complaint because I can never get enough). I can’t wait for the other novellas to release this year.
The narrators were a duo that I’ve come to love, both as a team and individually. They told not only this Kitty story but also the completed “Broken Dolls” together. Separately Meg narrated “The Proposal” and Troy narrated “Berserker”. I love that Meg makes the characters sound like regular down to earth girls and Troy is very good at changing his voice in order to portray many male characters within the same story.

Perfect narration!

I couldn’t have picked 2 better narrators to bring Mina and Brian to life! Duet narration is quickly becoming my favorite. I loved seeing Mina come into her own and saving Brian.
Oh Brian. How I’ve missed him. I can’t wait for more of these two and the two narrators.

Completion of their story…perfect perfect companion to broken dolls…

Here we get to see how Mina progressed (not so much on a lot of books because they end with HEA or guy gets the girl and they’re happy now.)

IF you enjoyed broken dolls you will love this… Kitty Thomas is a rockstar! You leave thinking of the characters king after the book is done…

The novella is worth it!!!

Thrilling story, exciting narration!

This novella is perfect as an audiobook! The story is thrilling with twists and turns and the narration makes it that much more exciting! I’m even more convinced that Mina and Brian are perfect for each other!
