Better than REACHER

Absolutely love and can't stop listening. Actually I'm only 3/4 the way through but these 2 authors have won me over and I can't wait to explore the style of Jen Frederick because I love learning the history and wisdom of different cultures. Jessica Clare has been one of my favorite romantic authors because of her deep stories which gives us more pearls of wisdom in relationships.

So merry Christmas to me with both of your gifts of putting some of your books in the plus libraries ❤️. Thank you

This book is also a HOW TO an oral sex, or oral sex for dummies, and I mean no Offense to anybody, but I always go to those types of books when I want to learn in detail about something and I think this would be really helpful to those like the character who are inexperienced, and/or have never had a partner that knew how to do it. I am typically not into erotica? And usually fast-forward through those parts in many romantic books, but not so much with this book and Jessica's writing.

So as a patron and definitely not a writer I think you both so much and I'm curious how people write books, and hope I might be able to find an interview that maybe you have done together about this, regardless you are on my top 10 favorite author list as I no longer can read due to Long-Haul Covid but listen to many many audiobooks and educational tools ❤️

Fascinating and Intense!

Last Hit is so fascinating and super intense! I loved Nic and Daisy’s characters. Despite vastly different backgrounds, they are so alike and so different at the same time. Daisy’s past unravels as we move through this compelling story of love, trust, betrayal, heartbreak, and triumph. I loved Nic’s perspective having grown up as an assassin for the Bratva, how he developed his own code in order to survive, and how he has created independence for himself. Daisy is super sheltered and is missing so many nuances due to her childhood, yet she is strong, brave, determined, and sweet. They are like fire and ice yet make the perfect match. The subplots and drama that ensues from their connection is outstanding, with complexity and depth. I absolutely adore how Nic makes Daisy his world and does everything with respect to her and her feelings—swoon! And the ending? Oh yes, what a dynamic ending! No spoilers, but it is so worth it!!!

The narrators did a wonderful job with these complex roles. The accents were so interesting—though sometimes inconsistent—yet the performances we strong and engaging. I can’t imagine the challenge in playing a cold and emotionless assassin with origins in Russia and a heavy accent was easy. The post-production of this audiobook could use a bit of work—there were inconsistencies in volume and mix down. Not overly disturbing but enough of them that I noticed.

Great Anti-Hero Story

I thought this was a great "mafia" style story. The story itself is compelling and the voice acting is top notch. I especially loved the performance of the male voice actor. Pretty good!

Last Hit is a Hit!

Great easy listen, can't wait for the next installment to find out Regan's story. Funny, sexy, sad, serious all in one book.
