Most of us have heard of gluten - a protein found in wheat that causes widespread inflammation in the body. Americans spend billions of dollars on gluten-free diets in an effort to protect their health. But what if we’ve been missing the root of the problem? In The Plant Paradox, renowned cardiologist Dr. Steven Gundry reveals that gluten is just one variety of a common, and highly toxic, plant-based protein called lectin.

These four nutritional strategies - fresh food, fermented and sprouted foods, meat cooked on the bone, and organ meats - form the basis of the Human Diet.

Historia
Millions of people are suffering from chronic illnesses that, unbeknownst to them, are the result of exposure to environmental toxins and infectious agents such as mold and Borrelia, which causes Lyme disease. Millions. Because the symptoms of these illnesses are so varied and unusual, many of these individuals have sought medical care only to be dismissed, as if what they are experiencing is “in their head”. Many (if not most) have tried to tough it out and continue to function without hope of improvement. Unfortunately, their illnesses are very real.

Just over 125,000 years ago, humanity was going extinct until a dramatic shift occurred—Homo sapiens started tracking the tides in order to eat the nearby oysters. Before long, they’d pulled themselves back from the brink of extinction. The human brain, and its evolutionary journey, is unlike anything else in history. In A History of the Human Brain, Bret Stetka takes listeners through that far-reaching journey. He also tackles the question of where the brain will take us next, exploring the burgeoning concepts of epigenetics and new technologies like CRISPR.

Resumen del Editor
Upon diagnosis of his mother Kathy with both Parkinson and Alzheimer's disease, Max Lugavere set out to study the causes, as well as ways to prevent and even reverse the two diseases.
Lugavere who was hitherto a media personality had to bid it good-bye so as to focus on medical research. He left his dream job as a reporter and presenter both on TV and online. With good media credentials, Lugavere was able to penetrate far and wide. He soon became one of the leading scientists and experts in the field of medicine around the world.
With determination, he dived in intensively into the discipline - spanning papers. He interviewed several clinicians and researchers. He visited several leading research labs as part of his commitment to the mission.
Here is what you will get out of this summary:
- A detailed summary of every single chapter
- How diet and lifestyle determine how healthy we are
- You will get to know Lugavere top "Genius Foods"
- Key takeaways and points worth remembering at the end of every chapter
- And so much more
If you are someone who's tight on time, maybe you want to see whether the original book is worth it or not or maybe you don't remember much of what you hear, then this summary is created for no one else but you.

Historia
Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

Historia
Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

In 1972, when workers in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, were digging the foundations for a new development, the last thing they expected to find was a skeleton at the bottom of a well. Who the skeleton was and how it got there were two of the long-held secrets kept by the residents of Chicken Hill, the dilapidated neighborhood where immigrant Jews and African Americans lived side by side and shared ambitions and sorrows.

Good but missing critical concepts
Good book, although I feel Grain Brain derives similar conclusions in a more elaborate way. Genius Foods misses a few links here and there. Most important, people and micro-systems are different. Genius Food, is merely assuming all people are the same. We know now that some people are more gluten sensitive than others, so a distinction and recommendation for testing, I.e. certain antibodies, is missing here entirely.
