Another home run!

Do you like military sci-fi? Do you like Scott Bartlett? Scott and Josh batted this one out of the park. With the addition of Mark Boyett, these guys are the dream team for military sci-fi. Fast paced, entrenching, can’t wait for the next installment.

Great start to a new series.

Great character development, Great picture of evil antagonists. Makes the antagonists seem like the worst cretins you could imagine. It has you itching for more! Would like to see Rocket become part of the main crew too!

Another great book from Scott Bartlett!

This was a great start to this series and I can’t wait for the next book to come to audible! Amazing character development and storyline. Can’t wait to see what next in store for the crew of the Omega!

excellent character building

the action didn't start till halfway through the book. but this is a brand new universe all new characters and he spent half the book building the background, building the hatred for the bad guys. by the time the actions started you were really rooting for the good guys. excellent way to start off a new universe. looking forward to more

okay

Without spoilers, a few personal comments on the story. It was decently written, but lacked a lot of details. Additionally, toward the last half of the book i actually wondered if the author's intent was to make it a depressing story. Perhaps book two or three will turn things around, and if the story has you hooked, enjoy! I will likely not return for part 2+, but will check out what else this author has to offer, hoping to find better.

The characters and their development

I was expecting a different type of ending but the additional chapters provided more character information.

Not Great, Not Terrible

Fairly standard science fiction big bad alien empire story - I was not expecting the book to be over four hours early, and there to be four hours of 'other works'.

slow to get going, but worth every minute.

Was slow to get going, but does speed up. There are a lot of characters to get to know. Took me a bit to grasp exactly what the humans were going through. There is no cookie cutter Scifi here. The story didn't suffer your typical formulaic short comings, so typical with other Scifi novels. The characters go places that you will not guess.

I can't wait for the next book in the series.

P.S. Think the short stories would have been better at the beginning.

A-holes

I'm 27 chapters into the first book and I'm pretty sick of these a holes that have basically enslaved the humans… I really don't see a point to them as part of the story… They could be left out in the story would be just the same… Don't think I'll be able to listen to the whole series
