When Lieutenant Alex "Flex" Callahan encounters mysterious alien probes near Luna Station, no one believes his warnings—until it's too late.

Human activity has awakened an alien presence deep in our Solar System. Now, humanity faces extinction as this ancient and forgotten foe launches a devastating invasion. Their goal? To reclaim Earth as their ancestral home.

Flying his Firebird fighter from the carrier ECS Vanguard, Flex leads the desperate fight against overwhelming odds. With superior technology and savage combat skills, the enemy steamrolls through humanity's defenses, conquering colonies from Europa to Mars. Earth's last hope lies with its fighter pilots and their nerves of steel.

Packed with intense space combat, advanced technology, and military action, Titan War delivers a punch-to-the-gut story of humanity's fight for survival. When defeat means extinction, there's only one choice: victory at any cost.

This author does an excellent job of making each scene feel like it's own story. instead of just a sci fi Action shooter, sometimes it feels like an adventure story, or mystery story, it's not locked in to one genre.

very good

It's not often that I dislike a main character some much but Flex is just to much!

I enjoy joyed the story line. the interactive between some of the characters with a little redundant. overall I enjoyed the book.

A very good start

If you read this book and just think of it as in a weird Star Wars universe instead of The Expanse or similar where physics behave realistic, then it becomes ok. There are so many flaws and logical holes everywhere you get used to it. But beneath all that, there is a quite interesting story,
The characters are very cliché and not very progressive, almost 2d, but thats ok. The fighting scenes are more "dialoug-ish" than scenery ("Engage!", "Splash one!", "Boogie on your tail" etc), but thats ok.

Some rambling but it is to show what to expect:
At one point the MC goes through a portal, and comes back and apparently the equipment (suit, helmet etc) doesn't have any recording or logging devices, so he has to explain what he saw instead of showing... I don't know, video from any of the multiple cameras that would be there. The MC goes inside a room to talk with a captured alien, and he have to reiterate what they talked about, because no microphones. They are flying "subsonic" in a thin atmosphere, weird strafing rounds very low because apparently you can't have missiles or bombing runs from, no drones etc etc etc.

It´s very weird, but... well, good story arcs and good narration keeps it up between all the facepalms.

Great performance lifts a mediocre book

Overall I enjoyed the book. Plenty of space fighter based combat, enough alien tech laying around to rain interesting, and an implacable foe and interesting twist.
Story could easily have been told in half this amount of time, but even then I enjoyed the ride. Four out of five stars.
Recommended.
