Few would expect the lowliest of all monsters to be the savior of both mankind and monsterkind. After all, how could one shrub stop a plot decades in the making? You could ask the serpentii the same thing—if there were any left.

Entertaining Cozy LitRPG

A slime, a skeleton, a goblin, a vampire, and an animated shrub walk into a dungeon....

The character work here is quite good, with memorable characters experiencing entertaining character arcs. The characters are still very sympathetic and you want them to overcome their challenges. They do occasionally drift a little far toward the saccharine, but not to the point that I was ever taken out of immersion.

The plot isn't quite as tightly crafted as that in the first volume. It's still a fun read, but it gets a bit scattered at times. That said, the story builds toward a crashing conclusion that leaves the reader wanting the next volume.

The world is an entertaining one, and we get to see more of it as our heroes travel from the fringes of their world toward the more powerful center.

The second episode in this cozy LitRPG story is not quite as tightly crafted as the first, but it's still entertaining. Recommended.

Go Shrubbley!

Shrubbley and friends saved the town and are accepted. But now they want to move on and grow. The Countess decides to go with them. The Count doesn’t like itand sends lackeys to bring them back. Meanwhile, the gang befriends a Dungeon, rescues another town, rescues another Dungeon, and sets on an epic Quest. They enter a third Dungeon but it’s a trap and they get separated. But Shrubbley won’t let that stop him, he’s determined to save the day and reunite with his friends. Book ends

Love Shrubbley. He’s young and idealistic bring guided by a wiser vampire. The story is humorous, easy to follow, and well paced. The narrator is a treat. Please enjoy

This book was a good way to escape of reality. We could use more people doing good because it is just the right thing to do.

Soooo comforting.

This story is so refreshing and sweet with the right pacing. I could not recommend it enough. Besides, I think most of the community thinks of Travis Baldree as their emotional support narrator. So, what more could you ask?

Another fun adventure. I’m enjoying all the new ways the characters are growing. In the last book I felt like we needed one more person in the party. And now we do! Fun choice.
I enjoyed the Zelda and Dragonball references.
Narrator is spectacular once again.
