COOKING UP TROUBLE!

When the Bulbolan Chefs' Guild disparages Teacher's curry, an incensed Fran announces that they are both entering the upcoming city-wide cooking contest. But there's mischief afoot behind the scenes of that contest--shady characters with shady plans that put the whole city at risk! Can Teacher and Fran thwart a conspiracy while also defending their curry's honor, or have they finally bitten off more than they can chew?

As long as you go into this series with the idea that it is basically written to be an anime - with things like paper thin villains that spend ten minutes detailing their plans before each fight - then you will be fine. But you already know that. For what it is, it's great. Fran and the gang are cute and fun, and the plot is a nice mix of action and silliness. Also, who doesn't like curry?

Nice Little Anime Story

At first I was worried as to where the direction of the story was heading but it payed off so well! The author really knows how to set your heart racing during intense moments. It's so nice to see compared to typical isekai power fantasy!

Fantastic finale

Like the action and kept interesting. Narration wasn’t mono tone. Looking forward to next installments

Good series

While this one seems to start off in a n unusual way; joining a cooking competition to prove the greatness of curry. But this one does introduce two reoccurring villains in the series. This one plays more of a distraction from the main plot or storyline or does it add to it. Definitely one of my favorites of the series.

Such a fun one

At the beginning of book 2 Fran left to go to another dungeon. Somehow by the end of this book they've participated in 2 major events in different countries (with royalty from a 3rd) and have yet to reach the dungeon. This would be fine, except there's a lot of nonsensical stuff happening in these books that I just didn't enjoy that much. Seems like there's some building long-term story stuff happening, which is nice, if the next book doesn't feel more like book 1 then books 3 and 4 then I'm out on this series.
On a side note, the narrator's Fran "Hm" and Jet "arf" are starting to annoy me because of how often they happen. Specifically for this review I decided to look at the Light Novel's text, and it turns out there's nothing the narrator can do about it because the author just decided to have those in the text A LOT, so I can't really ding the narrator for it.

Funny but silly diversion
