Resumen del Editor

What, according to Tom Peters, Chairman of Tom Peters Company, is the problem with the way people do business today? Well-intentioned people who like to get things done are being thwarted at every step of the way by absurd organizational barriers and by the egos of petty tyrants.

Focusing on how the business climate has changed, this inspirational audiobook outlines how the new world of business works, explores radical ways of overcoming outdated company values, and embraces an aggressive strategy that empowers talent and brand-driven organizations where everyone has a voice.

His vision: Employees who dance from project to project, making "it" up as they go along. Enterprise that reduces the bureaucracy to almost nothing. Societies that educate their young to break the rules and invent vivid new futures.

More than just a how-to book for the 21st century, Re-imagine! is a call to arms, a passionate wake-up call for the business world, educators, and society as a whole.

Great!

This is an eye opener for us business owners. Destruction really creates growth. Until we accept this fact, we can never grow big.

Interesting Ideas

I like Tom Peter's view on modern business. However, I was a little surprised by how monotone his voice was for his own book. The printed edition has technicolor all over the place, but the audio version seems black-and-white. If it wasn't for Tom's message, I would have given it only two stars.

Brilliant & Bold

This audio book is the boldest gutsiest opinion I have heard in a long time. The points the author makes reflect his opinion on the way things are and should be. I do not agree with all of his assumptions and predictions but I find that every one of them is an eye-opening jaw dropping food for thought or at least for those who are willing to look at the world from different angles.

Good stuff... get angry!

Good book, well worth the listen. Starts to get a *little* tedious by the second half ("I get the point now, thanks") but overall it's worth every penny if you want to think differently and lead others to think differently. Full of real world examples not just bios of successful "re-imagineers" but also how.

not that great

this is a long rant about how to do business in the new world according to the author. It does have some valuable insights, but not that great. This doesn't repect your time that much either. It's more like a way for the author to let off steam. There is some info, widely spread out, with a bunch of garbage in between. A lot would have sounded good 5 years ago, but it's almost outdated now. Get something more organized to educate you.

Great from start to finish

Tom Peters analysis of the changing job market and economy is terrific. I immediately put several of his thoughts to work in my own business and am starting to see real results. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to lead the charge into the new workplace instead of merely being carried along by the tide. One of the best business books I have come across in years!

Love That

I think Tom will make you question what you believe about the near term future. I have to admit I am a fan of his work, but I have listened to this book several times, sometimes just to reabsorb the original views or to maintain my confidence that earthshattering dramatic change will occur and will make things better. Others have commented on the Rant nature of his chapter starts, but while repetitive, I am prone to rants too and if your not mad a hell, you likely will not have the energy to make the big difficult messy changes that will really make the difference. worthy listen.

Excellent brainstormer

This is the epiteme of brainstorming...a terrific strategy piece. Very much worth hearing. Tom Peters reading was perfect and properly conveyed his vision and thought process.

A great call to change

I have always enjoyed Tom Peters, and especially enjoyed that he narrated his own book. It really added significant meaning to the content. His ideas are always very contemporary and applicable. The book gives examples of the application of his management proposals and their results. Tom is more of a reporter who condenses what he sees others doing that create success, and then reports it with such energy that it is captivating. I think he has done a great job of that in this book.
