Jaw on the floor

Epic writing and world building. Warning the first book was mostly so slow until 3/4 in. But the story built at the end and I am so glad I buckled in for the ride. The investment was worth it.

What absolutely stellar writing. Plot twists were so good and equally frustrating. I had physical anxiety at the end of this.

I cannot wait until the next one is released.

Sarah is the master of cliff hangers!

I would replay the ending of the first book all the time while waiting for this book. I love the depth of the plot and world building. Nice balance of plot, character building, and spice. The slow burn is 👌👌.
Some times the repetitive or long-winded train of thought was tiresome but 🤷. Still a series I would say is one of my top faves if asked. Can't wait for the next book!

Really good but lacking in some ways

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED book one and I still really enjoyed book two. I will probably reread this again once enough time has passed by.

I love a slow burn so I was engaged in the romance. I love MMC and I found aspects of him endearing. Days later and I’m still thinking about him lol sometimes FMC confusion on his actions were a bit annoying and felt unrealistic in some ways.

What I found lacking was plot - I wish there was more developing blood house itself (not just adding new members) - I wanted more details on how members were getting along, the hierarchy development, economics etc. I found myself wondering, “well what is everyone in the house even doing???” I was looking forward to reading about this after book 1, but there wasn’t much of it.

It was STILL very interesting and engaging. I just wish there was more development of blood house before the book ended so abruptly and of course on a cliffhanger like that. I am intrigued to find out what happens next but there was a couple missed opportunities in this book before the last chapter.

You should still read it. It’s still worth the read, but just a bit disappointing in some ways.

Rough story

It is very good. Excellent. But it is just a little too hard of a plot for me. I like romantacy - love it - but one major point why I read romance is that it doesn’t typically cross into the “dark” line (I’m not talking about dark romance) - romance shies away from getting too “evil,” too nasty (meaning the characters are just diabolical). Well, this book does not shy away and that makes me very uncomfortable and tense. Although the book is well written and the narrator fantastic, it gets way too heavy (torture, sexual abuse, etc). I will still read the next one - just be aware that this book is unnerving, and I would not classify it as romance - just regular fantasy.

Even better than the first book! It just started ramping up then bam no more pages. Ended on the best/worst cliff hanger. Can’t wait for book 3! It needs to be out right now!

Please please please make this a movie a series something visual this would be the best binge watch EVER ! & to the Author : I came across youre book in the LosAngeles library & it made me want a part to so I looked you up & a part 2 was in progress I preordered & as soon as it dropped I audio booked it . Point is KEEP GOING ! You’re an amazing author& it reached me a person who’s never heard of you & now I live for youre books 🥰💕 .
