The F-ing Gray Man is Awesome

Now I will search for a book anything like The Gray Man, Mitch Rapp, or Victor The Assassin. Those three are by far my favorites and I couldn't tell you which one I like more. All three would react to each situation differently yet every situation would be entertaining. Mark Greaney gets better and better the more he writes. I cannot wait for the next one. For all the people bitching about the first person get over. " It's not the same as the other books. He used first person narration!" they loudly whine. It took me about half the book to get used to the new narration type by the end of it I thought it was a great way to cast Gentry's thoughts. People never like change, and they have a hard time accepting it, but if they were to reread the book knowing it was going to be in first person maybe they would be more accepting. Instead of actually reviewing the book and giving it's real value they give it less Stars because they couldn't accept the new narration type, which is crazy to me! The book was great.

Refreshing Point of View!

Literally.
We finally learn what goes on inside The Gray Man's head. In this ninth series novel - for the first time, Cort speaks from the first person point of view in regard to his thoughts and actions. AND he has a great sense of humor - he's a real person. He is no longer the mechanical 'action-hero'. But he is still the stellar hit man with a conscience. This shift in point of view was more intriguing and relatable for me. I believe the author's bold choice to 'freshen up' his storytelling approach was quite successful. Jay Snyder, once again, narrates admirably. His vocal variety makes it easy to discern which character is speaking. Fans who urge Greaney to return to only telling Gray Man stories in the set third person style seek to stifle creativity. Not every story lends itself to first person POV, but it was perfect for this one.

Great storyline

Great storyline. However didn’t particularly like how the main character self narrated his presence in the book. But other then that another great gray man adventure....

One minute out fantastic

If you haven’t listen to this series do so it’s always great intense and never a cliff hanger he doesn’t solve the worlds problems but he does complete his mission 10 stares if I could and I don’t write reviews

Engaging, had me captivated the whole time

It took me a while to get accustom to the gray man speaking in the first person the whole time. Otherwise it was a great story!

Love it

I realize some people don’t like the first person narration, but I loved it. Something about this book made me want to cheer in a few places. One of my favorites

Might Be The Best Grey Man

This might be my favorite Grey Man book. If the sex trafficking industry is even close to this and ... we need a lot of Grey Men in this world.

all other narration fine, as I expect 1 man has to become a vicious killer and then a meek and mild Eastern European female..
No one seems to know HOW South Africans SOUND...why such poor research and delivery of same!!!!

would have given 5 stars all through but most as a South African...I was irritated all the way through.

Good - not Great!

1. It took forever to get started - yes, there is plenty of content in the initial third of the book but there were times that it seemed to drag on and on.
2. A few parts are beyond unbelievable
3. The ending is good but not great -

I listened from beginning to end but nearly 16 hours is too long -

Has the Gray Man run its course?

Page turner!

As always, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat. The gray man even tho beaten up still keeps plugging in.
Can’t wait for book 10.
