In Naked Prey, John Sandford puts Lucas Davenport through some changes. It comes in the form of two people found hanging from a tree in the woods of northern Minnesota. What makes it particularly sensitive is that the bodies are of a black man and a white woman, and they're naked. "Lynching" is the word that everybody's trying not to say—but, as Lucas begins to discover, in fact the murders are not what they appear to be, and they are not the end of the story. There is worse to come—much, much worse.

Filled with the rich characterization and exceptional drama that are his hallmarks, this is Sandford's most suspenseful novel yet.

Meet Letty West!

Loved this book. Letty West is one of the best character additions to this great series. She appears in subsequent novels in the series and she is a fabulous character. And this is the book where she makes her debut.

I hope this series continues until Lucas and Weather are grandparents. Their children can take up where the parents left off.

very enjoyable. Early in the book, after meeting a new character, I had a wish. It came true. very Good Ending.

This is the important story of how Lettie becomes a part of Lucas' life. Great story, one of John Sandford's best!!!
