Olympia Black
I was abducted by the alien puppy pound.
Thrown into a cage and sold as a galactic pet. An alien captain has made me his beloved pet. Things have happened that I can’t live with. Things too terrible to mention here....

This is Olympia’s debut novel and she knocked it out of the park. I loved the relationship between Seb and Ensley. I look forward to reading more of Olympia’s work in the future.
Amber and James did an amazing job on the narration. They really brought the story to life.
A note from the author “This is a science fiction novel with intimate scenes some listeners may find uncomfortable.”

Ensley’s just another girl in New York until the day she’s abducted and sold to an alien commander. Stripped of her freedom, language, and control, she has to survive in a galaxy that sees her as less than human. What starts as captivity becomes something far more complicated. For her, and for the man who thought he owned her.
Captain Seb believes she's a rare, exotic pet with no will of her own. But she's not what he expects. Ensley pushes back with wit, stubbornness, and raw emotion, blurring the lines between pet and master. Their bond shifts through tension, defiance, and desire until neither of them can see the world the same way.
As their connection grows, so do the risks. When trust, love, and control collide, both have to face what they want, what they fear, and what they’re willing to lose. Nothing about this was ever simple.
Ensley grows from a scared, angry captive into a woman who knows her worth and fights for it. Seb, disciplined and proud, begins to see the cracks in everything he was taught. Together, they build something messy, intense, and real, rooted in survival, trust, and slow-burning change.
A dark, steamy, and emotionally intense sci-fi romance, My Human Pet blends forbidden love, captor-captive tension, and forced proximity with themes of power, identity, consent, and resilience. It’s about reclaiming control, forging connection across impossible divides, and what it means to choose someone when everything says you shouldn’t.
Audio: Narrators Amber Lee Connors and James Ford deliver layered, emotional performances that elevate things. Amber brings heart and strength to Ensley, while James gives Seb the perfect mix of control and inner conflict. Their voices ground the story and make the journey unforgettable.
He called her pet. She made him question it all.

This is an alien abduction story where the human woman is purchased as a pet but without a BDSM type slant. When Ensley awakes to find herself caged on an alien ship, she chooses the path of cooperation to protect her life.
Captain Seb has wanted a Human pet for some time and finally has the time and funds to collect one from the Dulus. As an Imperial Captain, Seb is in space for long periods and expects a pet will break up the monotony for himself and his staff. According to the experts, he’ll have to train the excesses and uncontrollable impulses out of his pet. As a bonus, he can breed her as their biology is so similar. Too bad Humans aren’t quite sentient and can barely remember two days ago. But interesting how the experts seem to have so much wrong and how the Imperial Race is looking to add to their gene pool.
The only really off note for me: I was a bit disturbed by Ensley calling her baby “It” when he was first born and when he was taken away. That doesn’t work for me if she loves him so much, which extend from her feelings for Seb.
Conners and Ford do a decent job of narration.

Amber Lee Connors did amazing work conwaying emotion in her preformance in this audio book. and i hope she will keep on doing exelent work on other books too.
feel like this book should have an erotiva/explicit tag too(exhibisionist/Humiliation(and other bdsm elements)) i am gratefull i was working alone this day, it got pretty exiting at times.
minor persived flaws imo, where not too much of a fan of the first part before the "becomes a pet" part. feels like the wrighter left/ignored the whole human pack mentality and "us vs them" survival instinct to force story along. there are also several time skips that i felt wheren't explained all to well what happened (so short i missed the 1-2 sentences that explains the few months, could have been given some more attention) bigest flaw imo is that there seamed to be zero non verbal communication attempts unless my unfocused mind totaly missed it (and when it was trained/punished out of her) its multiple instances(major spoilers if i mention them all) where logic seams tossed aside and sadly it brings the book down somewhat for me but over all i enjoyed it
