♡I didn't think I could love a couple more than I loved Caden and Billie, but I was wrong. The narration was phenomenal!! The beginning of this book had me once again hating the MMC, and by the end, I was rooting for him. Take that as you will because some may say that I'm unwell for thinking that... I love dark romance reads, and this book definitely fulfilled my love of dark romance.

Alexandra, a girl who has been through the inevitable, is trying to be free from her controlling father and haunting past all while trying to find who she is in the process. Xi is a broken soul trying to do everything he can to protect his family, even if that means hurting the only girl he's ever loved when he never meant to fall. I'm so excited to continue this amazing series♡

Bad boy gets the good girl? But add a bit of spice

I remember discovering the first book in the north shore series and it all just went downhill after that. The bad boy and the good girl is such a normal story but what made it different was Alex. The whole plot twist by the end gave me the best whiplash ever, but man loving someone for their level of crazy is the best way to describe it without spoiling anything. i added the whole series to my reread list so fast. I will reread this whole series so many times I already know it.

This story is owning my entire heart and the narration was incredible! Truly, I felt so immersed in this story and felt every emotion on this journey with the characters.

4.5 ⭐️ Oh snap, that twist! I low key expected something to be up, but certainly not to that extent! I ATE this book up and am loving this series! I knew I loved Xi and his protective side, but I also love how much he helps Alex come alive and to stand up for herself!

The audio is dual narration performed by Corvin King and Heather Firth and I listened to this book so quickly! Loved how perfect they were for these characters!

You are going to want to stop and listen to every song referenced in this book. Made me crazy and made the book reading take a lot longer than entirely necessary. Am I crazy for wanting a story for each of the side characters. Keep them comming, 😜 literally...

This was so good....

I am absolutely loving this series so far. This book gave me all the feels and thr narration was amazing. I mean Corvin King?? Legit can't go w r ong with that man's voice.

Loved this series. Loved this book. Corvin did an incredible job with narration. But, I am going to say what no one seems to want to say, HF should not ever be selected to read for any male characters part. Not trying to be harsh, just stating the fact. Please be mindful that this could have been a 5+star narration (for each book in this series) if that aspect had been taken into consideration.

I liked this more than I thought, especially because I wasn’t Xi’s biggest fan after Beautiful Fiend. I still like Beautiful Fiend more, but it was still really good!

The amount of whining - UGH

I really REALLY wanted to love this book!! The amount of whining Alex did throughout this book just drove me NUTS! Using the term degrade much?!? Come on 🙄 The male narrator and his robotic tone (both as self and Alex- more as Alex) was way annoying just as much. I’m giving it 4 ⭐️s as I felt the storyline was pretty good. Spicy but not TOO spicy. This book could’ve been SOO much better. I’m holding out hope for book 3.
