Really enjoyed it!!

This was a cute book, and I really enjoyed it. I loved Odette’s friendship with Izzy, they were so supportive of each other! I anticipated the 3rd act, but it still made me sad for all involved. So happy they found their HEA.

I loved the dance Odette and Noah kept up in the beginning; it was fun watching the tension build between them. I didn’t enjoy how much Odette laid into the family curse. It didn’t just influence her decisions, it ran her life, and she blamed all negative things that happened to her on the curse and took zero accountability for any of her own actions that contributed.

Chloe Ryan and Nelson Hobbs narrated this book. It was my first time listening to them and while it wasn’t my favorite performance, I look forward to listening to them again in the future.

Perfect for the hopeless romantic

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I loved the chemistry between Odette and Noah. Noah was not as grumpy as I thought he'd be. He's a sweetheart and someone who'd do anything for the people in his life. The fear of heartbreak due to past experiences, in both these main characters was so strong that they almost missed out on love. And yet, throughout the story the chemistry and banter between them made me root for them from the very beginning. The romance is sweet and the spicy scenes were great. The narration by Chloe Ryan and Nelson Hobbs was enjoyable. This one is a good story for the hopeless romantic who loves the best friend's brother sneaking around, secret romance tropes.

Romantic Comedy

Grumpily Ever After by Teagan Hunter is a romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Chloe Ryan and Nelson Hobbs. This is the first book in the Stick Taps series.

I loved the relationship that bloomed between Noah and Odette. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Grumpily Yours to be released on July 21, 2026, so I can get Ezra and Summer's story.

Nelson and Chloe did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a romantic comedy, second chance romance, or contemporary romance.
