The Incursion Event has been announced, and sapient races from across the multiverse are invading the newly integrated planet Earth. These beings have decades, centuries or even millennia of experience living within The System and wield powers far beyond the mutated Beasts and mana-spawned Monsters Drew and his friends have faced in the past.

While the newly established settlement of Sanctuary flourishes, much of humanity is hanging on by a thread. The small communities that have managed to eke out an existence know nothing of the horrors that await them at the hands of the more gruesome Incursion races. Even hastily fortified cities stand little chance against their onslaught.

To survive in the face of this new threat, and save what is left of humanity, Drew and his family are forced to level up in The Baleful Lady’s own treacherous training dungeon. An experience that might be even more dangerous than the Incursions themselves.

Forced past his limits, Drew must learn to use his System-granted necromantic powers in frightening new ways… or accept that humanity’s extinction is inevitable.

Not Bad

An excellent story and it has a bit of a hat off to other stories like this. (Incursion pillars, Pillars of Civilization 😉) I do like the time skip the main character and his wife went through. I think that’s called a training montage. Plus, I do like the way it addresses religion, which is typically skipped over in other system apocalypse stories. I would like to see another book in this series.

Good book

I really enjoyed this book. So far in the series, the author has done a great job with the progression of the characters. I can’t wait to see what happens with the next books in the series.

The importance of choice

I love how the main character struggled with allowing his minions the ability of choice.

the ending sucks

the bleeding heart main character who is a necromancer is a different take but when he decides to turn into Hermione Grainger with the house-elves over his own summons that took it too far. I don't think I've ever been so annoyed at a main character before, hoping for him to get the sense smacked into him.

Not Bad

I enjoyed the book until he started making his Minions have a soul of some what. Then as the story progresses it just got to complicated and I love the idea but the outcome was disappointing. Minions our your brother in arms so to speak, your closest trusted fighters and literally have your back. But having them be more of a person with a soul ruined it. I've read books with Minions having personalities but a not a soul and if they went that route it would of been better. Didn't like the outcome in the end. Ruined the whole bases of being a Necromancer.

Love it.

I really enjoy this story so far. I know some people will have problems with a certain section honestly I think it was fine, but could have been a bit less deamening to certain religions.

stupid logic

the logic behind releasing his minions is simply moronic theu could've had freedom without being released and he's depriving himself of a crucial tool to ddefend his family any man knows that a man protecting his family would do anything cross any line to ensure there safety morals be damned otherwise great book the logic behind the last part was frustrating though keep up the good work
