I really enjoyed the whole book. It was fun and witty. There was even a subtle DCC Easter Egg reference which was great.

Do not sleep on this book

This book was absolutely amazing to me. There were times I literally said “I swear if he messes this choice up” and the MC delivered making logical choices. Well at least as far as skill development, the MC overall makes wonderfully terrible decisions which make the story amazing.
Characters are well written, system is great, narrator found their stride, and the humor was amazing.

Think DCC with a little less grimness, or HWFWM but the MC is way more likable.

Mason finds himself in another world with a video game in his head and power at his fingertips. interesting premise, entertaining characters and a fun ride to the end.

While this book didn't introduce any new or groundbreaking LitRPG characters, monsters, fight mechanics, etc., it nonetheless excelled at telling a good story about likable characters and definitely created a world that is of interest to me and one I will follow.
