simply compelling

the title honestly had me skeptical but oh my gosh I fell in love with this book and finished it within 2 days. I am only upset that I now have to wait for the second one.

Okay, yes I loved this book! Really hoping there will be a second?! Because, hello?! What is happening next? Leaving us hanging!

The story has a nice new age twist on the “fae” that is a refreshing take from the traditional narrative.

The writing was great and I did enjoy the audio performance. The only thing I would change about this is having the male narrator speak throughout the book, rather than just at the end.

So good

I loved the slow burn and even though it was really slow the story was so good I barely noticed. The build up was fantastic. It does end on a cliff hanger. Book 2, where are you?

I need to learn to not listen to the first book in a series when none of the others in the series have been released yet!

Would it work?

I need to read if there are cliffhangers before I start a book in a series that isn’t complete haha. I was wondering how this was going to mesh with the fae/magical world and the “real” world and it was nicely done. This is my first read by Geneva Lee and I will read Filthy Rich Vampire next because I did enjoy this book!

Moody, good vibes, beginning of a good story.

I enjoyed this extension of FRV, I just wanted more. Seems like right when it stated to get really good, it ended. Looking forward to the next book. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Loch and Kate.

Book 2 book 2! Gimme book 2!

Great narrator, she’s so good 🩵 I binged Filthy Rich Vampires and felt the latest installment was the best in that series so I was a little concerned this series might fall flat. It did not, I was never bored, I blushed, I swooned, I loved it all. Of course due to formula somethings happen that we can guess but the cliffhanger I did not expect to be soooo cliff hanger-y. I really can’t wait until the second book is out, I saw pre-order for the book is due in April so fingers crossed the Audible debuts on a similar timeline.
