It hasn't been easy for Jason ever since his best friend vanished, sacrificing himself to prevent Jason from being dragged into an otherworldly portal. The world didn't seem to care like it should, and just as he was getting back on his feet, bizarre monsters from other worlds began to invade, terrorizing Earth.

A lesser man would have wanted to run away from it all. Jason picked up a sword and started beating the hell out of things.

His newfound powers have made him one of the most effective weapons against the Outsiders, causing the military and the public to rely on him more and more. As if that wasn't enough, Jason gets contacted by the godlike voices that seemingly kidnapped Rob, offering him a deal: fulfill these conditions, and you'll find out what happened to Rob.

It's a bad deal and a bad bet. The game is stacked against him. Jason intends to win it anyway—because, in the end, there's no other choice.

An Outcast in Another World is a LitRPG adventure series with elements of fantasy, isekai, progression, and weak-to-strong. Jason's side story focuses on the world that Rob left behind after being isekai'd. Fight scenes are high-octane duels that involve creative decision-making on Jason's part.

great story, wish it was longer

fast paced action, emotion, and more outcast from another world shenanigans. I loved every moment of it. the only negative thing I have to say is I wish there was more.

best book of series, so far

no RPG over talk, no broken personalities, no toxic social posturing.

just a good story about the improbable possibility of alternate reality. it was fun.

Short but Solid

Well done short story. Has the same strong writing of the 3rd book. Always glad to get some more info on Jacob's side of things. If there is a 4.5 I would definitely like to go through it (hopefully longer then a few hours although). If you liked He who fights with monsters book four this should feel at home. VA is great as always. A whole credit is bit much wish there was an option for $7.99 or even $10.

Jason ' I am ironman'

Loved it! similarities between Jason and Rob puts a real life spin on a lasting friendship.

Just happy to get more

While I don't care nearly as much about Jason's perspective as I do Rob's, it was nice to get a clearer picture of what's going on back on Earth, and I'm always happy to get more of this story.

I was a good book but was hoping for more insite about the main character.

Slow apocalypse

I love how this side story is basically a single character with levels trying to stem a gradual leak of creatures from ruining Earth a slow system apocalypse

Excellent.

Narrator has good tone, flow, and inflection. really captures the feel of the characters. two big thumbs up.

Meh

These side stories can always be a mixed bag that can to darn right frustrating it isn't the sequel you have been waiting for like GRR Martin's house of dragons which is a shameless prequel or Patrick Rothfuss' side story to king killer chronicles of a useless character that just serves to annoy fans all the more.

This one however is about what is happening on earth and continues subchapters that have teased what has been happening with the MC's friend. It's a good side story and narrator doesn't disappoint. While I do recommend this one I will say it is quite short and the book 4 audiobook as of this writing has no release date still...

A little short for a credit

Same as title, a little expensive for 5 hours of content. Nice story addition though.
