Very solid series, well worth the credit

Great 2nd book, looking forward to seeing where things go now that the revenge arc is done.

Only mild complaint is the lack of explanation around how gaining power works in this world. There's gods blessings, and mages and lots of enchanting... but no coherent explanation about power types and scaling in thr world yet.

A Compelling Narrative

A tale of murder, blackmail, extortion from a charming rogue. Even in light of his many crimes, it is far too easy to forget that our main character is not the good guy. Thankfully the author so frequently and tactfully reminds us! Great work and I can’t wait for the next incredible read.

Another great book!

I absolutely love how Dantes is truly honorable. So you can’t help but root for him. The world building in this book is great, and I love seeing the development of his powers and how he is progressing. I don’t want to give anything away, but you’ll be happy you read this. And specifically, listened to this because I have done both books in audio and the narration is awesome!

Loved it! Had a little bit of a lull in the middle, but overall a great story and performance.

honestly I liked the first one better, imo
why does he have to monologue?? I understand the betrayal but letting someone attack and get a leg up on you when YOU'RE THE ONE WHO IS PLANNING ON KILLING HER.
