Losing Interest

Well. with the glut of cardboard villains and the narrator annoyingly stretching out the last word of every sentence, I think I might be done with this series. I had to listen to the last half of it in 2.5x to power through it. It's a shame. It seems like a waste of a good premise and some good characters, but I don't think the author has any idea what to do with them.

Main character has a weak personality. Uses member as a decoy all the time.

Kanata the character is not bad it has a lot more room for improvement. Personally I don not like characters that are push overs. Making him a coward by putting the weakest members the target for everyone else that assumes is the strongest one. So far the story is teaching the reader that you should be a push over to everyone and to a tool when you are wanted..

Good Story, has some issues

The story is solid but I feel like there's been little to no character growth with the main 4 characters like at all between the first three novels. Pomera is still timid but steps up when asked to by Kanata, Kanata doesn't really commit to a whole lot outside of helping those around him, Philia is still 5 (that makes sense at least), and Luniere (spelling?) is still a total tsundere with some yandere tendencies. Like yes it's a good story I just hope the other four novels (there appears to be a total of 7) have some more character growth, because right now it just feels like nobody cares to actually change when confronted with disaster.

What stood out the most to me is the Reader of the book. Very catching.

I quite literally sit at the edge of my seat while listening to this, and am disappointed when it's over. I look forward to more out of this series.

Honestly, pretty decent

is this going to win any awards, probably not. however, if you're just interested in a good listen in this type of genre it's not that bad. if you got a spare credit it's worth it. It's a shorter seires of only 7 volumes so it's not that bad.
