This was my least favorite of the series. Not because it’s not enjoyable just because I struggled a little with a few “phrases” nothing I couldn’t get past. I also had trouble feeling the connection between the characters.
He calls her “little girl” I was not a fan of that nickname.

Overall, this is a good story. I enjoyed learning more about Jackson and liked seeing him get his HEA. I found him to be sweet and spicy.

The third book in the series is Jackson Soloman the no nonsense judgemental bosshole. Mia Marcos is an intelligent sharp witted spitfire hiding dangerous secrets.

These two start off on the wrong foot when she is hired against his wishes to fill in for his assistant taking leave. The sparks fly when he tries to get her to quit and she just tries to find a way to coexist. Mia is advanced and finished school so is seventeen almost eighteen when she starts the new job. The age gap adds an additional layer to their dynamic giving us the slow burn until she becomes of age and then all bets are off.

This had the enemies vibes with the perfect blend of suspense when the secrets pull her farther in to a dangerous situation and has him all in to try and help. The last half I didn’t see coming and has Jackson showing how in he really is going to any lengths to make her his and keep her. I loved Jackson so much, I didn’t want to but I did.

Michael Gallagher & Ava Erickson. This cast of narrators did amazing job with the story and bring the characters to life. A great listening experience.

While I mostly loved the story and the narration performance SO much -without giving a spoiler- the way the main female character acted , especially at the end, was so disgusting/annoying and immediately had me thinking that’s what happens when children date…

Another hit by Bethany Rosa!

I really loved Mia & Jaxson. My parents have an age gap marriage so age gap tropes always pique my interest. The MMC definitely started off as a bit of a jerk but had a great redemption arc. I loved seeing how strong Mia was and loved the ending.

I’ve had my eyes on Cici & Eli since book 1, so I’m really hoping we get more on them next! I’m definitely going to keep following the series.
