Rescued by the people he has sworn to eliminate, Azrael finds himself questioning everything he once believed as years of secrets and lies are exposed. His very nature is challenged as he battles unfamiliar emotions and navigates relationships that contradict the heart of a killer.

My favorite "trope" is an assassin who has or finds compassion, and Az does not disappoint!! I'm also a huge fan of "found family", which is also another huge feature in this one. I really enjoy that the MC has a ton of skill and power but doesn't just blow his way through every battle--he has to truly fight for what he believes in. The narration is simple, no fancy voices or anything, but still done very well.

Really enjoyed this story! Lots of action, great world building, new magic system and exciting/ relatable characters, even some romance! This story has it all! Looking forward to the next one❤️🙌
