I thought that you need a ton of money to live near the beach but after listening to this book I see I was wrong and fisherman's cottage can be a great place to have not only for fisherman. You can even make money from it. Also you will find good tips how to maintain your cabin.

Great listen for anyone looking to buy a seaside cottage! It really takes you through each step like looking for the right location, choosing a great spot in that location, advice on how to do your due diligence, and also how to maintain your cottage once you've actually purchased. There's also a bonus chapter about renting your cottage out which is beneficial if you plan on renting it out full time or if you only plan on living in it for certain times throughout the year and want to rent it for the remainder. Would recommend!

I came across this book recently while researching buying a cottage on the coast in Connecticut. I’ve come to find out there is more involved than I had originally anticipated but James walks you through the process phenomenally. Something you might not think of like spending some time in town to learn the history of the house and the people in the neighborhood. That is awesome advice. This book is full of informational gems like that that will help you navigate the waters of buying a cottage. I can’t recommend this book enough for someone in that position as it is an invaluable resource. Thanks James!

Good information

I looked at similar homes in places like Portland, OR, or Vancouver, WA. Since Fisherman's cottages are less common than I want to settle, I found this book really helpful, especially the maintenance sections. The price strategies and special maintenance sections were also good. I found the narrator to be a slow talker. I solved this problem by increasing the speed to 1.7. I also found the book to be a bit short, but the author does a great job at packing in the information. If you are looking for a good audiobook on buying a Fisherman's Cottage then look no further.

I don’t know much about fishing, but I have lots of friends that do. I love being around it. A fisherman’s cottage would be so great! This audiobook lends insight of the options in life. A quick getaway is needed in the concrete jungle.
