It’s a warm September afternoon in the sleepy town of Mechant Loup, a tornado has just ripped through town, and Detective Clint Wolf is searching for a missing school teacher. Even as the outer rain bands of the hurricane begin battering Mechant Loup, Clint makes a grisly discovery in the dead of night and suddenly realizes he’s dealing with a cold-blooded killer - but that revelation leaves him with more questions than answers.

When the pieces of the investigative puzzle finally start falling into place, Clint will have to answer a question of his own--did he finally meet a suspect he couldn't take down?

good story, that kept me wondering to the very end who was really the killer.

Clint didn't disappoint

Living in this region of the world I can identify with the tornadoes. This was a strange way to discover a body! This story did not disappoint. I can't wait for the next to come out in the series.

I’ve just completed listening nonstop to the eight books (so far) in the Clint Wolf series. I really really enjoyed them and am sorry to be done with the series, for now anyway.
These books are all very good procedurals. Each can be listened to as a stand alone however for continuity with developing relationships I would suggest listening to this series in order.
If you’re a fan of the David Wolf or the Mike Bowditch series then you should also enjoy the Clint Wolf series as well.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this entire series.

Amateurish writing. Choppy narrator. Embarrassing to listen to. Not recommended. Waste of money. Won’t listen to anymore in this series.
