New York Times bestselling author Aurora Ascher's hilarious and hot blend of spicy demon romance and cozy fantasy featuring a half-mad demon with questionable morals, a goth witch who kicks ass and takes names, and a magical library in a castle in Hell. Perfect for fans of Hannah Nicole Maehrer, Brynne Weaver, Jenna Levine, and Kimberly Lemming.

A villain always has a plan … but she's a complication he never saw coming.

Murmur, the nefarious Necromancer, is losing his mind. His army of souls screams in his head, and his dreams are filled with bone-chilling visions of his approaching death. To save himself, he will unleash a torrent of destruction unlike anything Hell has seen before … But for his plot to succeed, he requires one final ingredient: the blood of a certain headstrong witch.

This witch can rescue herself …

Suyin, leader of the Montreal coven, hides her dread beneath a tough exterior. Unusual abilities she can't explain are taking over her life, and she's haunted by ominous dreams. Her fears are realized when she's captured by a demon with bloodshot eyes. Murmur plans to leave her in his dungeon, but Suyin has no intention of making this easy for him. Bargaining with demons is dangerous business, but she'll do anything to survive.

Enemies may become lovers, but fate has other plans.

Forced into close proximity, things begin to shift between Suyin and her captor. But as the Necromancer's machinations reach a pinnacle, he is faced with an impossible choice: achieve his master plan, or free the woman who resurrected his dormant soul.

I’ve enjoyed this whole series. I am really looking forward to Bell’s story…and Lucifer’s demise.

Enjoyed

I’m glad to see the other character from previous books and to finally see what mumur was really planning the whole time the fmc set on my nerves a little bit I guess She was supposed to be a b*tch and she acted like one at some points but she was okay in the rest of the story. I can’t wait to see what fans make murmur look like . Irecommend rest of the series it’s a must read for sure . I hope to see bells book soon .

Mumur 🖤

first of all:

story: decent. I was so glad it wasn't filled with too much sex. that annoying filler crap that authors do to fill up pages....
except for both Murmur's and Suyin's incessant and excessive inner dialogue. that got annoying...

characters: Idk what Aurora's obsession is with men with long hair. each time she does this in this series, I really hate it. I hate men with long hair. they ARE NOT SEXY. it makes them undesirable.

audiobook needs the most improvement.
the same narrator should NOT have narrated every book. cuz now all 5 females SOUND THE SAME.
they need a different narrator for each female.
they also need to add males. and not just one. one per character. so, what's that 6 males now?
1 for Ash, 1 for Mist, 1 for Meph, 1 for Raum, 1 for Bel, 1 for Murmur. (or they can try hiring Aaron Shedlock since he's the only male narrator so far Ive seen that has been decent at changing his tone).

ALSO, I EXPECT MY AUDIOBOOKS TO SYNC WITH MY EBOOKS RIGHT AT RELEASE. DONT RELEASE IT WITHOUT THIS.

this seems to be a theme with this series.
they're never synced at release day, but then later down the road, they are.

but thats just not good enough.
this needs to be done before even releasing it.

EBOOK--- most disappointing.
the last one, they finally wised up and made the fancy chapter headers match the paperbacks.
I purchased it immediately.

they only half did it for this one.
its much smaller and tbh looks stupid being tiny.
I wont purchase any hardcopies ever. I dont like the clutter of it.
It was such as shame they didn't continue this or go back and fix #1-#3 either. I would have purchased them immediately.
But apparenty they dont like money.
I wont purchase unless they match the paperbacks fancy chapter headers.
And now it makes no sense to have 1 book have them and not the rest.
Mismatched is annoying.
their loss.
