Enjoyable listen, with music interludes

Well written, easy to follow, but we seem shortchanged at the end. After AA rehab, we are rushed through an ending that includes Another break-up of the band, a dismissal, assorted adventures, a marriage and child rearing...a paragraph of words. Would read/listen to Part 2, which is given a short shrift

Absolutely enjoyed Kathy's story

Arriving in L.A. in 1982 in my 20s, I loved hearing about the many L.A. clubs and places Kathy highlighted, the rise and fall of this iconic L.A. based band who I got to see perform many times, and the reunion tours they all needed to have in their later years to remember the great legacy of music they left for all to enjoy! Also liked the songs she wrote and performed at the end of several chapters. I know she has another book of stories in her to share even more personal band members experiences!

Great story and storyteller

I most enjoyed ‘All I Ever Wanted’ as an audio book. With the writer vocalizing the story, I get a much more in-depth feel for it. This is the second Go-Go’s-related book I got into. Kathy does a great job telling her story. It’s interesting to learn about each individual’s band mates perspective. I love the rise and she started playing, writing and performing. Well done.

Wow honest riveting and have become a fan!

The Gogo’s became my freshman in college memory of a frat house. They were cool but I was a true metal rocker. I was thrilled for them as they took the GPU try by storm. Kathy has made me feel like I was there from her teenage years up through now. I would go see her live anytime now. Following her on Facebook now. This is a must get book. Well done KAT!

Loved This Book

While not a Go Go's fan (not my generation), I thoroughly enjoyed this memoir about rock and roll, famous people, and the Texas and California music scenes in the 70s and 80s. I found Kathy to be honest and genuine. Her struggles with alcohol and drugs so typical of those of us who lived through the 60s. Loved the narration, and loved the music interspersed throughout.

An 80s rock legend puts it all out there

Real and raw, Kathy Valentine bares it all about her wild ride of a music life. You feel it all along with her, which is the mark of a good writer. Looking forward to reading more in the future…and maybe the rest of the Go-Go’s story eventually!

Kathey did a great job telling her life story. Her ups and downs. Glad to she made it through those rough times.
