Full of scary female rage and trashy wine chilled with trashy ice cubes, I’m so angry Chelsea had to redact part of her story. But I’m such a proud cookie. This book is everything. So GD thankful for my female friendships tonight.

Heartfelt and Honest

A truly beautiful, honest and often heartbreaking memoir. I would have enjoyed following her journey in a more chronological format but perhaps it was for protection. I’m cheering for her continued joy.

God I loved this book.

I’ve been listening to Chelsea’s podcast for a while, now, and so looked forward to hearing more of her own story. I was HORRIFIED to learn that so much had to be redacted, but I so respect how she handled it and the bravery she showed through obvious distress, irritation, anger and sadness in each different delivery of “redacted.” I laughed out loud, burst into tears, clapped my hands over my mouth in shock, and thought “I would give anything to somehow be her best friend,” countless times while listening. Chelsea is hilarious, and vulnerable; generous, and brilliant; full of rage, and with the willingness to laugh about it. A+, future bestie. I simply cannot wait for the next one. Read this book immediately!!

I f***ing love her! This is a great book, this is a relatable book for unfortunate reasons for most women that I know, and especially myself. Thank you for the honesty, the realism, and the happy ending.

Fast paced, heartfelt and fun

This is an amazing book, it is fast paced quick witted and a guilty pleasure to read, I highly recommend to anyone!

Optimism and humor can heal the soul

I loved the raw truth of the story, and the humor that helped Chelsea survive. My favorite part is picturing her out of this world, extraordinary wedding to her husband who so very clearly is her soulmate. I love knowing that she will be healed by a kind of love she so clearly deserves! Thanks for sharing the highs and lows you experienced in becoming the amazing, strong af warrior woman you are. Your message to your younger self was so beautiful. I could relate so deeply with that disconnect from the younger version of myself, not only surviving, but blossoming and thriving after my own “bjg, scary domestic violence thing,” only to have lost touch with that fearless version of myself who fought for me back then. I feel this overwhelming need to live a life that honors that younger version of me who fought so hard to reclaim my life, but haven’t known where to start, possibly because I didn’t have the words to articulate this to myself, let alone anyone else in my life, but your story inspires me to continue fighting for a version of me that is no longer shadowed by the parts of my past that continue to haunt me, to stop giving bad memories the power to control me and hold me back. I now feel hopeful that one day I can be free and that I will someday soon be as happy as I can stand. Thank you, Chelsea!

I've listened to Chelsea's podcast from the beginning. She is the friend I never had who also loves celebrity memoirs, and psychic moments!! I was reading about other people's lives since I was young. Her memoir has been a revelation for me. At the end of her podcasts she thanks the authors for sharing their stories. Thank you Chelsea for sharing your story. You're inspiring to me.
