Queen Elizabeth’s brilliance and kindness

This may be my favorite in this series yet- I’m certain I say that after each book. It’s so very clever and detailed
SJ Bennett never leaves a thread unexplained. The minute details are so interesting and makes me more curious about history

The voices are distinctive and memorable, and the story really evokes the time. I enjoy all of these books!

Charming and oddly believable

Have enjoyed the 3 previous books and this one is no exception. Of course few of us have any idea what life as a queen is like but here we are transported into world that I certainly believed was real. Story moves at a good pace and the reader is great.

The Life of the Queen as a wife and mother was intriguing. I liked reading about her dealing with the crisis.

I enjoyed reading this depiction of politics in the mid fifties. The mystery and characters were well described.

Another winner

It is 1957 and the Queen has reasons not to trust the people around her. She has a new assistant and 2 baffling murders that need solving. I love the blend of history and mystery.

Best book yet!

I have listened to all her books and this is the best yet! The Queen takes I think a more prominent role in the story and draws even more from real life events. Well researched as well.
