Just try it!
Okay, so out of the 3 books in this series out right now this is the worst of them. Characters get pretty annoying BUT book 3 corrects that 100%. It is still very enjoyable.

Perfect for the right time and person
I really love this series. It just happens to be exactly what I needed and when I needed it, and I can't wait until the third book is in audible. It's not perfect, one of the characters is intensely frustrating, and some jokes go on too long, but if you're in the mood for a pure hearted boy, some high fantasy (gamelit elements), and a several laughs and "hell yeah!" moments, this is just right.
I really love it. A friend told me it felt like a tabletop game I used to run, and that interplay between characters and the earnestness of it all just was really what I needed right now, in such a dumb era of real life.

Another solid addition
I think my only complaint is that this book absolutely flew by. I am definitely looking forward to where J.T. is taking us. The characters become more fleshed out as the plot thickens, and the new characters are intriguing...which means book 3 oughta be pretty dang good! The voice acting has been absolutely top shelf stuff across both books as well, great job!

Enjoyable but short

Ready for more
Im new ti RPG lit. I’m pleasantly surprised at how entertaining it is. I’m glad to have found a new fun genre and a great author and narrator. Of course Ive heard Tim before which is one reason I bought this. Great narrators rarely attach themselves to crap novels. So…anyway for a sword and sorcery lover, escapist, one who lives for stories like this I say this is fantastic and and definitely worth purchasing/ a credit. I actually purchased an extra credit outside of my monthly one so I could move to the next book faster! Lol

Amazing series
This series has put me in a bind. Do I spend next month’s credit on the new Jim Butcher Book (which I have waited 4 years to get) or book 3 in this series? That’s how good this series is.
