Loved this smutty Grinch retelling. The pacing is good, the story kept me hooked, and ending shocked me. I wish it was a bit longer. The narrators did a great job.

I stand by my review from last year which was: “My flabbers are gasted with this ending!” Flabbers are still gasted, but to elaborate, this was such a great retelling of the Grinch. We get so many Scrooge retellings around this time of year and hallmarky holiday stories that sometimes the pallet cleanser is a little (or a lot 😂) darker. The millennial in me was 100% comparing this to the Jim Carey Grinch movie and it was on point in all the places it counted and then deliciously spicy and murdery in all the others. This was such a great time AGAIN and I’m so thankful I got the opportunity to review this.

I’ve never listened to Josephine or Mike before so this was definitely a new experience for me and they absolutely killed it. The way Josephine sounded like two different women when she went between May Martha’s pov and Max’s pov was absolutely incredible. Mikes growly monstrous voice was 100% perfection for the grouch. 10/10 no notes for both performers!

This was on my tbr and as soon as I saw it was coming to audio I waited it out and am so glad I did. I went in blind and loved every second.

I loved the book and the audio truly brought it to life! The voice actors did an amazing portraying the characters! Just as gory as the physical book which I absolutely loved lol

It was just too creepy for me and I read some dark stuff. Maybe it was just the crossover between the kids stuff and what was happening in the book.
