Well…..ok. That was something for sure lol I loved that the chapters were all named after horror/slasher films. The twist was very twisty and surprising for sure. The full cast narration was perfect even though this was a short story. With so much going on and the amount of characters in the story, it made a huge impact to have individual narrators. Everyone was amazing but Amanda really gave it her all in the end and sold the hell out of being a lunatic.

This was insane but, I liked it. It defiantly had the vibes of the title and played on other classic horror movies as well. The mystery and suspense had my attention and kept me guessing. I was not expecting the who done it or why at all. If you like erotic horror that’s short, stabby(and maybe even a bit raunchy)with plenty of spice and no HEA, this one is for you.

Marie Hawkins, Shiloh James, Amanda Willow, Vivienne LaRue, William Macleod and Grayson Owens did amazing narrating! They did such an incredible job bringing the characters and dark vibes of this story to life.

Last Summer by Lo Gold and Luna K Wicked is the perfect story for any fan of horror looking to get into the world of erotic horror. When a group of six strangers are invited into the woods for a content creator retreat where they’re guaranteed to make money, it seems like a perfect escape. However, as accidents turn into incidents and blood begins to spill, they start to suspect they were lured into the wilderness for a reason.

What I love about the story is all the throwbacks to classic and modern horror films. Each chapter is named and themed around a horror movie. For example, in the chapter Terrifier, a killer is dressed similarly to Art the Clown. I’m not going to say more than that because I don’t want to give away spoilers. Although the story is campy and cheesy at times, it is very well-written. I don’t think the book would be as good without those cheesy moments. The characters are exactly like the archetypes you’d expect to see in horror movies.

Now, what’s a good slasher without some good ol’ gratuitous sex scenes? And since this is an erotic horror novel, the sex is cranked up to eleven. Just be warned that the first scene is not of a consensual nature, so check your triggers. These scenes tie into the campiness of the book, as several characters live-stream an orgy immediately after their friend’s death.

The adiobook is going to be the best way to experience Last Summer. There is a stacked cast of voice actors bringing this story to life. Including Marie Hawkins, Shiloh James, Amanda Willow, Vivianne Laroue, William Macloud, and Grayson Owens. The runtime is approximately three hours and totally worth your time. It’s produced by Blue Nose Audio so you know it’s a banger. And I’m not just saying that because they gave me an ALC. The production really is fantastic.

So, who is Last Summer for? Well, if you love horror and you love smut, this is a quick listen that’s going to leave you hot and bothered and a little bit scared.

This audio felt like one of those older slasher movies. They are my favorite. I loved the use of slasher films as the chapter titles and how the killer used those disguises for those chapters. This book is not romance and has no hea. And please check those trigger warnings. Definitely horror erotica. Will there be another??

This is my second Luna k wicked book and she is the type of dark twisted author that I’ve been looking for can’t wait for more of her books!
