Of all the jerks in the NCAA who could have been traded to the team, Sebastian Huntington is the absolute worst.

Two players from opposite sides of the tracks face off in this spicy rivals to lovers MM hockey romance.

Austin is NHL-bound, if only the team who picked his name in the draft would sign him already! Coming up to the cut-off point and graduation, Austin is hyper focused on proving himself and paying his mom back for all her sacrifices.
The last thing he needs is a distraction in the form of the Ivy League’s biggest jerk, Sebastian Huntington III.

Sebastian has been raised in Swiss boarding schools and Ivy League colleges, but after a scandal forces him from New Haven, he finds himself in a situation he is not used to navigating.

While messing with the hottest player in the NCAA was fun, playing on the same team is going to be a challenge. Maybe Sebastian can make it interesting?

Each book in the Ivy League Players series can be listened to as standalones and feature a new couple at a new college.

This is the second audiobook in Emmery Fox’s MM college hockey romance series, Ivy League Players. Each book in the series can be read or listened to as a standalone as each book focuses on a different couple at a different, fictionalized Ivy League college. This is a fairly short listen at just under five hours, but the author packs so much into that timeframe without the story ever feeling rushed. The story and the characters are so well written, you can’t help but become invested in both. Or if you’re me, maybe just a wee bit obsessed. This is a bi-awakening, enemies-to-lovers story that centers on Austin and Sebastian. Austin, who’s already been drafted to the NHL, is a star player and captain of his hockey team. He has the world’s best single mom who loves and supports him unconditionally, and Austin adores her for it. Sebastian, a transfer student from Yale, comes from a wealthy family with parents who are distant and detached. He has a hard time fitting in with the players as an outsider from a rival team, his arrogant and unbothered attitude not helping the situation. But when he takes over a first-line position from one of Austin’s friends, things go from bad to worse. As much as Austin wants to shun Sebastian, as team captain, it’s his job to ensure the team is cohesive and strong. So, he tries to have an open mind and be an ally for Sebastian with the team—even if he has to fake it. But the more time they spend together, the less fake it becomes as Austin is inexplicably drawn to Sebastian and begins to see the real man beneath the cocky attitude. And what starts as a casual thing to help Austin explore his newfound attraction to men quickly develops into real feelings. I truly loved this couple! They definitely had their obstacles to overcome, but their path to an HEA was packed with emotion, mutual respect, understanding, love, and compassion. Oh, and plenty of lovely MM spice! Adding to the overall deliciousness of this story is the incredible duet-style narration from the talented duo of Nick J. Russo and Oscar Reyes. Both completely inhabited their characters, drawing you right into the story with performances that were real and nuanced with so much emotion and passion that you just can’t help but root for this couple. So, if you love MM hockey romance with an enemies-to-lovers theme, you absolutely cannot go wrong with this audiobook!

A story about self discovery. Austin had been wondering about himself for some time but unsure what was in question. Enter Sebastian. His enemy on the ice. Sebastian helped Austin discover the side of himself that he was hiding. I enjoyed the shift between both characters throughout this story. Sebastian although on the outside looked like he had it all deep down he had nothing that was truly worth it. Austin had less in some areas but in the places that matter he had it in abundance. Austin gave Sebastian something he was always looking for support and feeling included. These two grew so much together it was beautiful to watch. Sebastian was patient with Austin. He helped him on and off the ice. And Austin help Sebastian build his confidence in his own decisions. It truly was great to see.

The narrators for this one did a phenomenal job portraying all dimensions of these characters. The pairing was great and the way they played off of each other was perfect. Ultimately the narration elevated this story and it was a great listen.

This was a sweet MM romance that was not terribly long. I had not read anything by Emmery Fox before Unlovable Player and I definitely will be reading more books written by her in the future. Unlovable Player focuses on Sebastian and Austin. Sebastian and Austin have a rivalry when they played on different teams before Sebastian transferred to Austin's school and they had to learn how to play together. Sebastian is a rich kid that had things handed to him while Austin had to work his butt off to get where he was. There was some good character growth for both MMCs but I wish there was more expansion on Sebastian's history and more viewing into Austin's family and the growth of their relationship. It was worth the read and was a solid 4 stars for me.

The narration was great. I sometimes struggle with narrators who use accents as the accents can overtake the performance but Nick and Oscar knocked it out of the park. 5 stars for the narration.

This is book two in the Ivy League Players. Seb and Austin start out as rival players that become more. The Boston accent Oscar used had me hooked from the start. The emotion that Nick brought to Seb was also superb! If you like hockey, emotional ups and downs, and HEA. You won’t want to miss this audiobook!

The story was very good I enjoyed the angst and tension between Seb and Austin. The narration? Absolute perfection 👏🏽🤌🏽

Oscar Reyes and Nick J Russo were the perfect cast!! Oscar's jersey accent was 🔥 I was kicking my feet just listening to him and the way he voiced Austin's Ma?!? 😍 His range is amazing!

Nick is already one of my favorite narrators and when it comes to MM romance he can narrate all my books 🫠🥰 I loved his performance, I felt Sebastian's pain and the way he was resigned ro lose Austin's but also that bit of hope that he might not leave?..Nick Absolute nailed it.

I couldn't get enough of this two, this has been my favorite audiobook in months!! This one will definitely be on my re listen list!!

The author did a great job writing Austin and Seb's story and these VA brought them to life perfectly 🤩
